After a terrible week with aches and pains everywhere including new ones in my neck and shoulders, Hubby escorted me back to the doctors. I am glad that he came with me because he makes me tell the doctor everything and not gloss over details. Anyway, as well as having OA and carpal tunnel (which I already knew), he is now throwing fibromyalgia in to the mix. It all makes sense somehow. I have got new meds and a hospital referal for next month. Here's hoping that we can soon get these three beast under control and I can regain control over my life.

Embrace the good days.

Diane

I am so glad you have been back to your doctor and it is a good idea to take Hubby with you so you have to tell all. Its not good that you also have fibromyalgia, but at least you know whats going on and will get your hospital appointment soon. Good luck with the new meds and hope you begin to feel better soon. Sending you hugs xx

When I was at my worst, my husband came with me too, I made a list of all the things I needed to tell the doctor about, and I was so glad I did. He was brilliant. He was really good about the fibro and arthur, and having hubby there meant I didn't feel like I wasn't being listened to either, and they can be like that.

My other doctor (you get a mix where I am) is the opposite. He doesn't really want to know, so it's like banging your head against a brick wall.

I'm sorry you have fibro too. I know how hard it can be to manage, and some days can be just plain horrible. I had my carpel tunnel seen to and it was wonderful to get it sorted.

I hope you get plenty of support and advice to help manage the symptoms and pain.
