Oh dear peeps

As you all know I am still waiting for the first part of my operation. (neck)

Well I went on the 23rd of june and was told by my surgeon that it had to be done in 3 weeks and if it hadn't been done I had to chase it up. Well I did ring 3 week later to be told it would be more likely august.

After sitting and pondering I have AGAIN plucked up courage to ring and ask where I am on the list.

"ah yes you have a provisionary date" (think that was the word)

"oh i said, I can feel my heart thudding"

" why?" she said

"well you are about to give nme a date"

AH yes......3rd OCTOBER

I then said oh dear thats a long way away, my appointment is urgent. I had all my pre ops done on the 23rd.
Everyones opp is urgent she told me.
I then questioned about the pre op being out of date.

They will all have to be done again :x

She is going to speak to the surgeon (mmmmmm) and see what he says.

I have left it in her hands.....hopefully she WILL come back with a better date, but he is going on his hols for a couple of weeks too.

I feel well and truly c**p and at the moment I just want (ooops I am) to cry.

Love Juliepf xx

Why on earth do the pre-op that soon for NOTHING???

3rd October still seems such a long way off maybe the surgeon WILL say 'this one is urgent' when she speaks to him. i do so hope so for your sake.

Oh no. Julie, I am so, so sorry. What a horrible shock. The blasted surgeons do not live in the real world at all, do they? I guess yours has said the same to everyone he has seen, and not thought much about the practicalities of fitting said people into a schedule. Berk. Pillock. Twerp.
I don't do these often, so bear with me in case it all goes mammaries up.

Hopefully by the time you read this you will feel a little brighter.I really hope it comes together for you soon-sending a not too tight hug and my very best wishes.

Oh Julie that is so not fare, after all the stress of waiting for the promised phone call or letter. You must feel as if your life is on hold. It is such a shambles why put people through the pre op if they cannot sort out the waiting list? No wonder you feel like crying, I would too.
They should know how upsetting this is for people and get their department sorted.
    Gentle hugs,

Sorry I'm so late in on this. I wasn't around yesterday. I can only echo what the others have said. It sucks. But I know you'll deal with it.

You have a good weekend too, Julie.

Except for special occasions, Mr SW & I gave up on the sweet stuff a month or two back due to expanding waistlines. It was that or the wine. No contest.

    Take care.
