    Thanks both!

Well, I have actually been out of the house today for the first time since Friday  and, despite probably the worst night I have ever had with the hot flushes, there are definitely signs of improvement today. I am now able to move far enough away from the fan to do things between "episodes" and the "episodes" themselves are less frequent, less severe and my temperature is much more stable between whiles. I can't tell you how happy I am that things seem to be improving. Only downside is that my poor insides have made it abundantly clear that they do NOT like my new eating regime  so I will have to have a bit of a rethink about how to eat the things I need to be eating... But I'm sure I can work that one out fairly easily.

    Thanks again,

    Tilly xxx

Morning tilly, I hope that things are continuing to improve and that you are feeling better/brighter. It's Thursday so does that mean coffee and cake out with your mum? I hope so, even if it is a rice cake. g020.gif DD

    Hi Tilly,

I hope the flushes have abated a lot and you are able to work a way round the eating thing as well. Leaving tea and cdm in the owl box and a nudge from the deer. ((((( ))))) and a hope flower. Cris xx

    Thanks all!

Flushes still receding so I am hopeful that they will go away eventually

I have also received copies of the letters the rheumatologist has sent out following my appt last week and it is clear that he really did listen to me and understand/believe what I told him which has made me feel much better about things.

I am genuinely feeling much brighter than I have done in weeks - actually probably months - so I am fairly confident that normal service will soon be resumed

Thanks again all for your continuing support - it really does mean a lot.

    Tillyxxx

PS - thanks for the owl box supplies Cris - I just got there before the deer with his ladder  so I reckon we are going to have to find a big padlock - think it'll take him a while to master that eh?

    Surely that's wrong, Tillytop????

Hey, good to know things are on the up. Hope you continue to feel brighter with or without the flushes.

    Thanks all!

You are right about Autumn Suzy. Had gales and torrential rain here today. Thanks for the supplies Cris! The bungees seem to have done the trick (for now)

I am struggling big time with the flushes still day and night and I'm now not sure if I'm making much progress. Think things might actually be going backwards. Getting pretty desperate I have to say but I guess that, as before, I am just going to have to sit it out and wait for them to go away again. Can't even begin to think about what I will do if they don't go  Just feeling very resentful that I am depriving myself of all my favourite foods and not yet seeing the results I had hoped for.

But good news is that the ole bones haven't yet cottoned on to the lack of meth so that must mean that the Rituximab is ramping up. So trying to hang onto that when I feel down.

    Thanks again for your support.

    Love Tillyxxx

    Hi Tilly

sorry you're going through a tough time
I hope the terrible flushes stop soon, especially with you having to stop the Mtx...
but ...I'm glad the ritux is working for you...and that the bones haven't started revolting!.

    ((((hugs)))) and anti flushes potion..

    Hi Tilly,

Its not fair flower but it sometimes the case that you go back a day here and here. Its hard to stay up when your body isn't behaving and you feel rough.

Glad the Rituximab is doing its job though and maybe the mtx isn't needed?

Don't forget we capped that hole so no matter what you think its not possible to fall right in it. Under the cap is a load of ladders so you can always climb out but the cap is reinforced and wont give way.

I don't know Tilly... just seen the deer in his hard hat and harness with 2 sheeps in tow... one with a clip bored and some writing on it....... Its in sheepeeze and my knowledge of that outside of their immediate needs is a bit limited......

I think we need to plot ourselves to stop the cdm stealing......

Leaving ((((( ))))) and a cuppa in the special safe, in the owl box, up on its bungees...... I really hope you will get it. xxx

Ooooh, are you back on our favourite fairground ride? Blasted malarkey. My fingers are crossed that the bones continue to feel OK, the lack of meth must be making you feel so much physically better (which can only help) and maybe, just maybe, the ritux is doing summat (I know, it is very early days for that). Take care. DD

    Morning Tilly.

I'm glad the rituximab seems to be getting a toe hold.

It's very frustrating going without our favourite stuff for no obvious advantage but I guess you have to give it a fair go if it worked before.

What nice stuff can you still have? Make sure you get plenty of it.

Tilly, I feel for you with the flushes I do. Have you thought about trying the venafalxine or clonidine? My gynae said they help with the flushes. I havent tried either yet, as to try the venafalxine I have to stop the seroxat and that is not an option. To start the clonidine, I have to settle on the ramipril first.

I dislike depriving myself of favourite foods as well, it is bad enough being ill and diabetic with out the rest!!!

Glad to hear the rituximab is working for you. One down, one to go.

Big (((hugs))), slice of cake and a glass of wine, for you my dear x

Thanks all again for your kind, wise words - and thanks to Suzy for the suggestions about the "anti flush" meds and to Cris for the owl-box supplies and for reminding me that that black hole is well and truly capped!

My wonderful, long-suffering, husband has a week off work next week. We are not going away but are looking forward to the time together. I won't be around much on the forum for the next week or so but I will still be thinking of you all.

    Thanks again
