I'm sorry....you will be sick listening to me......I've got a dexa scan tomorrow.....not sure whether i should ask for pocket duty again :???: It is only a Dexa scan.....{Not an MRI} uggghhhhh!!!!! The last one I had was 3 years ago. Fairly simple.
Then I'll be quiet until the week after next  thats when I have the glow scan

    Hi Hileena,
I'll be in your pocket but probably have to bring my Bichon. She's only little and will cry if I leave her.
You must be sick of the sight of hospital but at least something is getting done.
Don't forget to remind us when you will be radio-active.
    Hugs May

Count me in too, I want to have a DEXA and so need to know what is involved. Apparently it is not too bad and quite quick, it's a different process to an MRI, yes? Good luck, I am sure it will be fine. DD

    Hi Kellerman
I wont bve radioactive this one  The next one in less than 2 weeks.....when I ask for pocket duty.....I'll give you the timings and you can hop out of my pocket at the due time and then back in again :lol:
    Hi Jillyb
    Snacks sound lovely. mmmmmmm!!!!!!
    DD
Its much different to an MRI or at least the last one i had was
MRI.....was in that tunnel for 30mins and my nose was about 1 to 2 inches below the top of it.....not very good and i refuse to push the button.....It would only have to be done over again if they brought you out.
    Hi Toni,
Hope thats not the only reason  although she might?? wouldnt put anything past that one :lol::lol::lol:
    DD sorry meant to say.....
The one and only one i had....I just lay on a bed and a light thingey went back and forward over me a few times and that was it....didnt touch me. I dont know if there are any different kinds....Beam me up scottie :lol:

Hileena, I think it's about time you invested in some garments with not so much pockets as bunk beds cos I'm getting dizzy whizzing up there & back again. Then we could all just book in for B&B with you.

Course I'll be there. Hope it goes well and quick and you don't end up hareing off to another hospital this time.

Hi, I got a telephone call from the GP......remember I rang and left a message......wanted to know if she needed to chase up the mRI before I went away. Apparently No.....its now in the hands of this generalist doc.....who will get together all the results, MRI, Dexa, Bone scan and sort out a plan of some sort and let her know.
So I'm afraid you are going to have to wait for the result of gallstones :lol::lol:

    Hi Hileena

I will be ready for pocket duty tomorrow. Just made 5 individual trifles for any one who would like one

I am glad all your results are going to one person, atleast then he can study them all and hopefully come up with a good answer for you.

Count me in for pocket duty.Life is so much easier now the leg plaster cast has gone and won't add extra weight to your pocket!!

Hi Hileena, I've had this scan. Takes about 15 minutes. Nothing to go in and doesn't touch you.
I had it because of brittle bones and they wanted to check my hips.
By far the best scan I've had.
Will have to bring a treat for my bichon otherwise she may eat the trifles.

    Hi
Just popping in before I get ready to go....Ohhhh this site!!!!!!! just got to the stage of pressing send and the message disappeared :x
Yes this is the easiest scan I've had and the MRI is the horribilist one {making up my own words now}:lol: The glow in the dark one :lol: that is just an unknown quantity at the moment.
    Kellerman.....what were your results....bones OK?
My result {3 yrs ago} was osteopinia......a cross between normal bones and osteoporosis  GP thinks after this length of time it is probably osteoporosis by now  Oh well just have to wait and see.
Cris.....those pasties got lost in transit????? Never did get my veggie one
