Hello Everyone, you've been so kind and its helped a lot, I know.
We are coming to terms with things, Brian is excepting treatment, after his hospital scare. He's very weak and shakey and finds everything very hard to concentrate on, but he is going to his councelling at the local hospital, which has a special unit. My niece is calming down and we're sorting out a package of care that will suit them both. It may mean that they have to move, as the house is too big for them, but around the area they live are lots of flats and things. Theirs no rush, though and no pressure put on them. I have found that I still have some fantastic friends in Oxford, one who lives almost next door to my niece and has an empty Granny flat, fitted for a wheelchair user and she has promised us that whatever the time, she and her husband will have Chrissie to stay in the flat for a while. Wonderfully kind and she visits every day after work. Also Chrissie's friends have joined together to provide a support group to keep visiting and helping Brian with the practical jobs. People can be wonderful and it makes me so relieved.
Brian talks openly about his drink problems, which is, I think, a good thing, and he says that he knows it'll be hard work and he may have to go back and start again if he has a bad patch.
My arthritis is very painful and the doctor said I was almost aneamic, with large red blood cells. Now I've been looking things up and frightening myself!!! I have to have another blood test as I may be vituman B12 low, which effects arthritis as well as other things. I also have had a bad UTI and thrush in my mouth!!! I'm falling apart. Thank you if you've made it this far, sorry for the list of problems!

You are not 'falling apart', Woodbon, but you are run down with all the stress. And no wonder. I presume you're getting treatment. I think the anaemia is not likely to be a big deal. RA (Is yours RA?) can cause it as can the meds. A short course of iron should put paid to it.
I'm glad things are looking up for your family. Now, please, start looking after yourself rather than others. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

You're right about being run down - I think I ought to be put of charge overnight!0 -
Oh Sue you've had so much to cope with recently -please try to look after yourself and get as much rest as you possibly can; I know that's very easy to say.
Sending hugs and best wishes,

I am not entirely sure what Gog could do to help - can anyone else spot the delicate aroma of spam or is it just me? (Don't answer that! )
Morning woodbon, I hope you are feeling as OK as you can today. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Not falling apart or rotting away at all , Sue , I am actually amazed at how strong you are to cope with so much . Time for You now though , a bit of pampering for you wouldn't go amiss for a few days . Sending positive , strengthening vibes . Jillyb0

Hi Sue
You really are getting there, but make sure you look after yourself, easy to forget with all you have going on.
I really do wish Brian well, I have been there with my brother, and bless him he did get there in the end.
I will be thinking about you
Sending loads of hugs (((((()))) and loveLove
