Well I went to the hospital today didn't see the big man saw the under dog.. tho he was very nice and understanding... Explained pain has gone to my hip and knee now and hands are worsening up and showed him my new lumps.
He listened and said he was gonna have a word with the big man and off he went. He returned and basically explained nothing can be done other than to keep taking my pain killers and rest when needed and to keep my joints moving.

Might get trigger finger in one of my digits as it is pulling forward and the lumps are on the liagments and so op in future if needed when at its worst.

I know nothing can be done :( and I don't really know what I am expecting from these annual visits ( seems like a waste of everyones time ) There is no magic wand.

Its that usual case of ... you got OA... pop some pain killers.. rest... exercise.. grow old early and get on with it..

I DON'T WANT TO... I WANT TO HOW I WAS

xx rant over xx fed up xx hate my body

    Hi Dotty

Just wanted to say that if you do get trigger finger you can have a steroid injection at the site. This helped me for a time but in the end I did have the little procedure/op on both my thumbs and that sorted that problem out for me. I just wish there was this miracle cure for other aching joints.

Chin up, you can always call in here and have a rant and we do understand.

    Take care
    Elna x

Oh dotty, been there, will be there again, it is tough. This dross is ghastly, it works away at one, it keeps digging and exploring, it finds new areas to affect and our lives become so different. I find the whole resentment thing a two-edged sword: yes, on the one hand it keeps me fighting but it also knocks me down. That is why this forum is here, yes? I am thinking of you. DD

Thank you all, least I can be grateful I haven't got RA.. my heart goes out to those who have. Just seems weird having something wrong with you and yet nothing and no treatment for it... like a phantom illness.. Something you can't self help or cure...

Oh well... having a little drinkie to cheer me up xx
