Hi there

I have been suffering deep pain / aches in both shoulders & nothing seems to shift it. Does anyone else get this? Any tips?

Thankfully, my rheumatology appointment is on Monday. My joints are taking it in turns - first wrists, then hands, then knees, then feet, then neck, now shoulders (over an 18 month period). Always symmetrical (apart from neck, obviously). Does anyone else experience this movement of pain? I am sure people think I am making it up!

Thank you as always x

    Hi Sugarbuttie

I have OA and my pain moves around all the time, sometimes I am not sure what parts are the worst. I cant really help you at all with any advice but I just wanted to say that I am sure people dont think you are making it up and I hope your appointment on Monday goes well. Sending you hugs to ease the pain xx

I have RA , Sugarbuttie , and I find the pain is just as you describe . Right hip , left hip , right knee , left knee etc etc . At least it follows some sort of a pattern ! Jillyb

Sadly, all too normal, Sugarbuttie. I tend to prefer it to be on the move rather than relentlessly in the same place. Shoulders are nasty though as it's so hard to get them into a comfy position. When mine were at their worst - which they haven't been for some time - I used to improvise a sling. If you can get it at the right angle it sometimes helps by holding it steady.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Most of my pain comes from the shoulders sometimes sending pain down my to my forearms and fingers. I find hanging my arm loose and turning it slowly in circles can help then opening and closing my fingers but its basically whatever floats your boat, this works for me but maybe not for others.

    Hi Sugarbuttie

Mine moves around a fair bit too, but l do have a list of 'usual supsects'

Shoulders are not a great place are they??? Very easy to tense them up when they hurt and accidentally make things worse.

    Hope things have eased

Glad you have rheumatology on Monday.

    Love

    Toni xx
