I've been told that silicasheets can be applied to scars to minimise the damage, has anyone else had it, my mum had it on her knee after her TKR but was wondering if anyone else has had success with it , I know it costs around £35 , the look of the scar doesnt worry me at all but the itching and burning does

Hi Lavenderlady,
Sorry but it is not something we have heard of here at the Helplines. You could try ask your nurse/ doctor to see whether they have heard of it. Hopefully someone on here can advise you on its effectiveness. You may have a higher response if you repost on the ‘living with arthritis’ forum as it tends to have more activity.
Best Wishes
