Went to GP about hip today , as i thought she wants me to mention it to rheumy in october, the indent she believes is from weight loss(how when i am size 8 i dunno)and has said if i notice anything similar appear then go back..

She asked me how i was getting on with my numbness and tingling(saw her 2 weeks ago) i said i still experience it and have notice it appears when i am holding a cup or something for longer than a few minutes..
She wanted to give me a thorough going over doing neurology tests she said..
I struggled so much getting me bottoms off and getting on to the couch i was crying.. felt such a fool..She was very nice and said the tests needed to be done..She used pin type instrument up and down my legs and either side to see if either leg felt different.. my right leg did..she done my hands and arms too.. i ould not feel the pin on my palm side of hand at all which has kind of scared me a bit then she said my reflexes were very brisk and was going to refer me to neurologist..
I am not going to lie i am a bit scraed and fed up of hospitals now.. i have gynae probs aswell as arthur and now this...Had myself a lil cry.. spoke to my friend and she said you'll be fine.. i know she trying to comfort me.. but i am scared and worried..Suppose it is just something else i have to learn to adapt and get my head around eh..
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i could scream..don't think i got the energy to scream lol..x

    oh Tracy

bless you a HUG from me

Will try to make you feel better. You doctor has listened to you for once and been thorough with you...this is a good response. You were worried you wouldn't be taken serioulsy, but l am glad to say you have

Relexes get naffed up when nerves are being compromised amongst other reasons so it is very very sensible for you to be checked over by a neurologist.

I hope your good friend will come with you? and you know we will be there!

    Love

Can you have a break? Yes, when things are sorted and they know what is going on with you and can be treated accordingly. Have to go now, back later. DD

Right, it's later and I am back. I can understand your frustration, I have felt it many a time myself (mostly over the blood tests which were fortnightly for years) and it does seem that one thing leads to another then another and another BUT - she took you seriously, listened to you, checked you over quite throughly and has decided on a wise course of action: that is better than being ignored or fobbed off - tough on you, I know, but ulitmately I am sure this is for the best. Sulk for a while, go and scream into a pillow or summat, have a cry if necessary then come back fighting. Take care. DD

Sometimes it does seem neverending, Traluvie, and you just seem to be visiting one hospital department after another. (Hileena can tell you all about that.) I do remember a time when I felt the prostate clinic was the only one left for me! (Not now. I went with Mr SW.)

You know it's for the best, it's just the relentless dominance of pain and docs that can get us down. As DD suggests, take time out to scream and shout and cry.

Anyway, I'm up for a bit of drowning our sorrows tonight. Red, white or Rose? Get it cooled or warmed. I'll be round.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Toni..Thanks for the much needed hug..

DD.. you did make me chuckle when reading your post, cry and scream i have done.. come back fighting bit, I WILL ...
I am thankful GP checked me over properly and is obviously doing her job, Can't help but be slightly miffed that the last year has gone from bad to worse in some respects...I suppose i should be used to it by now.. i am forever telling people to be positive, i need to be listening to my own advice lol..
I think it's probably because i have had a bad few days and it has probably all got on top of me, something that i would normally take in my stride is making my brain work over time lol..
Need to pull meself together and get you all to give me a kick up the jacksy
Wheres sticky when ya need a drink eh? lol

Dunno what i'd do without you guys.. you keep me going that for sure..thanks

I think the term is ‘Talk of the devil….’

Well, here I am but, Traluvie, wine and chocolate??? Together??? Ouch! That was my taste buds screaming.

However, as it’s you and as you’ve had a tough day, I’ll bring the chocs along and you can have them all to yourself except I bet as soon as some of this lot get wind of them they’ll be round in two shakes of one of skezier’s sheep’s tails.

Oh Tracy - tis just one thing after another eh? I know it feels like a long haul and too much to cope with at the moment but, if you can, try to hang on to the fact that this is one more step towards finding out what's what.

As for the wine and choccys (ooh Sticky they are best together, really they are) count me in!

    Thinking of you.

    Did someone say chocolate?

Tracy, I'm sorry you're having a rough ole ride. I know that feeling as I'm sure others do too. I often wonder if I should take up residence at my GP surgery. I'm glad you're having it all looked into though. It's not an easy ride to get a one hundred percent accurate diagnosis, especially when things are complex. I try to look at things from a future perspective. Whatever is going on may be able to get sorted and you'll feel better. However, right now you obviously feel rubbish. So, like DD has said, let it all out. Better out than in, eh?

Sorry if this was all over the place, I'm semi-asleep.

    Be kind to yourself.

What did I tell you, Traluvie? They're lining up already. I'll make it a big box of choccies but I'll stick with neat wine please.

Am off to docs shortly to dee her again about a few issues that have been going on the past few days along with my earache and sore throat..
Been having what i would call a vibrating feeling in shoulder and throughout my body, not a nice feeling and i been having like fuzzy heads too, it makes my eyes open wide and i have to try and readjust my focus..
I am not sure if it is related to neuro or not but as i am going to see her about my ears i thought i should mention it..Can be a bit scary with all these new things going on..
    Neuro appointment 11th November..

Anyone fancy taking me the docs through cyber space pls lol..My bus stop seems so far away form my house lol..Lets hope i have enough energy to be carrying myself on them crutches lol..x

    Thanks Tilly...xx

Gp reckons the pain in my ears is related to my nerves as she said my ears look fine,, she has said to me to write all my symptoms down from when they started last year so that i can give it to neuro when see them..

    Hi Traluvie
Like sticky says I know all about that feeling........ exactly the same as you.....shunted about from one consultant to another and one dept to another.
Tuesday is a back specialist appointment in a different hospital....what for I dont know  I saw him last November and he made me walk across the floor and said I cant do anything for you and discharged me.
In the middle of all the other appointments I get a letter from his secretary saying i have and appointment on Tues. What good that will be i dont know.
I came home from a couple of the appts and had a cry as well....frustration :x
I keep trying to tell myself we should think ourselves lucky that someone is taking an interest in us but havent convinced myself yet so i'm sure I wont convince you either
What about these chocolates..........are they still on the go????

    Love

    Tracey,

So sorry to read your post Hun, look at it that at least if they know why it is they can treat it and you will feel better. I know it's awful being pushed from one to the other doctor, consultant etc but at least they doing there job well so don't knock it.

Well as for the wine that solves so many problems forna short time, Malibu and coke does it for me. So hope you feel better soon, keep tlking to us thats what we are here for. Xxxx

    Hi tracey

Just read your post (rather late I am sorry) I hope today you feel a little better. As peeps have said its good that your doc is looking out for you.
Hopefully the trip to the neurosurgeon will explain what is happening and you can get help quickly.

Hopefully then tracey you will have a rest from visiting the hospitals.

Every new year I wish the same but always seem to have an appointment in the middle of jan  and then the apps continue  They must just like my company eh?

Take care and keep yourr chin up
Sending a hug ((((((((((()))))))) to help you through the day, and another box of chocs
    Love Juliepf x

Hi Tracy, sorry to hear about your neuro referral. Sometimes its like a fulltime job going to all these appts. Have you got someone who can come with you to the neuro appt?

I hope your appt goes well. I will be in your pocket, with supplies of wine and chocolate for after!!!
