You know what Jilly i was just thinking the same and was going to create a thread about it..
There are a good few people on here that are a rock for so many and eachother... there posts brighten up the darkest days and there honesty is appreciated...If some people take that out of context then they should directly pm the person to talk about it and not make others feel bad..
We all are suffering with this dreaded condition and all need support and advice, we should all be here for eachother..
Without the rocks at the top it will all crumble and this forum would not be the same..

I too am completely baffled, surely this forum was created so that we could gain information about our various forms of arthritis and its medications? Some of us undergo unpleasant treatments for said condition, must we put a positive spin on everything? Are we not allowed to 'tell it like it is'?

Meet another very puzzled poster
    Gobsmacked is the only word I can think of ........One of the things we say to people {on LWA} is come on and have a good moan rather than to your family that dont understand...... {No matter how supportive they are}
Why must we ALL be ALWAYS postive and upbeat :x :x :x according to some poeple????????????????
I dont think us stopping posting Jillyb will make any difference....no matter how angry and puzzled we are.
    Love

    I think not, Poppy.

From now on all forms of arthritis will be designated as sero-positive and sero-definitely not negative.

Everyone must ‘smile when their heart is breaking’ , ‘keep their sunny side up’ and ‘look for the silver lining’ . Having arthritis must be presented as a positive, life-enhancing experience at all times. Our aim should be to make the non-arthritic world deeply envious of us.

OK here’s my positive thought for the day. I’ve made some very dear friends on this forum. I don’t (Whoops! A negative crept in  ) use the term lightly. I know they would be, as indeed some have been, there for me, at the end of a phone or an email or a PM whenever I needed them. None of them is perfect. (Sorry, being relentlessly positive is so….well….inaccurate and untruthful). Oddly enough, neither am I. (Oh dear! There I go, being negative again! ) However, I like my friends just as they are – kind, caring, genuine, honest, compassionate, supportive and, just sometimes, when they are in a lot of pain themselves, to prove they’re human, a bit negative.

PS My current name is Stickywicket  but, in the interests of positivity, I propose to re-name myself Batsmansparadise :lol::lol: .

I personally will be contacting the helplines first thing Monday for clarification. The suggestion that you are not allowed to express anything negative is censorship and extremely worrying.

I think I've missed something, but I've never heard that we can't express anything negative. We all need to have a good moan or rant sometimes, and we know that we will find people who understand on here.

Providing posts are kept within the house rules that can be read HERE you are allowed to express either negative or positive thoughts.

The moderators will not repress the community but we must ensure that we moderate the forum effectively – this means adopting a laissez-faire approach and allowing members a large amount of freedom. The last thing we want is to be seen as big brother as that would only discourage participation in the forum and ultimately lead to its demise.

Any complaints about the forum or its moderation should be addressed in the first instance to Jean123 (Forum Supervisor) or the webmanager and not the help line as that is there for other purposes.

I hope that you are happy with my answer Poppyg1rl but if you have any queries please post them here or send a PM.

    Thankyou for your reply Moderator,
I am still a little confused though.
I will certainly take your advice and not bother the helpline with this.
    Thankyou X

I’ve just read and re-read the Terms & Conditions and, like Poppyg1rl, I’m still confused.

Am I right in believing that, under the T&Cs, no-one should be accused of being ‘too negative’?

the mods have a very hard job of it they have to make decisions that we will not always understand but we have to trust in them. but we also have to try to help each other and encorage each other . we will all have bad days and feel free to post about it but being negative to others will not help them so please post and help the mods do a very difficult job be kind to each other val

Now the enigma code was eventually broken at Bletchley Park .....so breaking this new one is a whole new ball game. a015.gif

When someone does eventually do it maybe they can enlighten others who are feeling very confused .....................unless it's likely to start WW3 of course, then, it really isn't worth it

Yes I agree Linda. No WW3.

All these cryptic clues, I can't find anything on the forum to match the clues!
