Hi, is there anyone out there who has had shoulder replacement? It was offered to me 2 years ago but I decided to soldier on until things got too much. The dreaded time has now arrived, and I'm waiting for a date for the op. It would be really helpful to find out any details of pre and post op experiences/tips from anyone who knows! Thanks.

    Hi 4chixmum
I havent had a shoulder replacement, but I do wish you well with it, and can I welcome you to this lovely forum.
Could I just ask have you been offered a shoulder resurfacing...I do know someone that had it done, and she is very pleased with it.

    Hi,
    I haven't but my sister-in-law has.
Don't want to put you off but it did take a long time to recover.
That's not to say you will as we all heal and recover differently.
    Good luck with it.
    Anita.

I have met someone older than me (I am 60) who had a shoulder replacement and she was very pleased with the outcome.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

WElcome to the forums from me.

I am sorry to hear about your shoulder - it must be extremely painful

I have a friend who has had teh resurfacing and been ok with it for now (about 2 years ago), but she has been told a new one is an option so would be intersted to see what you decide.

    Love
