good morning all, i had my tkr on friday morning and it went very well, i am home now, i came home last night so only spent 2 days in hospital, would like to say thank you all for the support on here really has helped.
My knee is doing well, still swollen but i cant already feel a massive difference in pain.

    Wow you did not stay in hossie long! Presumably you passed all the tests with the physio before they turfed you out! Go careful for the next few days. Have you an appointment with a physio in the pipeline?

    I'm with Elna in the 'well impressed' forum, Gray.

    Rest and exercises from now on, I guess.

    Please keep us up to date with your progress and don't try to....er....run before you can walk?

    That was quick and glad our home. Its good to know already there is less pain and so hope you make a good and speedy recovery. Cris x

    Its lovely to hear from you, I think we all wait with baited breath to hear how people are going on after there op
    Im sooo glad you can feel a difference in the pain, that should make a big difference to your recovery
    I really do wish you a speedy recovery...one day at a time has they say.

    do the exercises as told but you have to rest to! i didnt and ended up being ordered to lie on my bed every afternoon for total rest as my knee was so swollen.... good luck and long may the no pain continue!!! well pleased for you, mine was a different story and still is, very jealous xx :wink:

    Get you, brilliant news. :grin: How did you manage that? Can you do the stairs and everything? That is very impressive.

    Hope the swelling comes down soon and the exercises are not too painful. I have my pre op tomorrow so I might be back to ask you lots of questions I forget to ask the doctor.

    Is yer bed still warm!! That was a really quick stay wasnt it?? But seriously im happy you can feel difference in pain already....Here's hoping

    Hi Gray,
    That was quick I had to stay 7 days when I had mine done (14 year4s ago).
    Good luck, hope the pain has subsided now.

    good morning, thought i'd give you a quick update, i feel fantastic today, my knee apart fromt he bruising form the op feels amazing, i have about 100 degrees bend at the minute which i told is really good. i am doing all work outs and exersice's needed.My wife and kids have been fantastic, a massive help. just waiting today for district nurse to come and change my bandage.
