first day back to school

It is my middle childs first day back to a new school. We waited for his mini bus but it never arrived and , after phoning transport, have been told that there wasn't enough room .They sent out a wheelchair bus but there is no wheelchair user taking this bus so 3 spaces were lost. Sadly it was my son who was bumped!

So what a lovely start.
Anyway good luck to all of you with chidren starting new schools. Lets hope it is a great year for them all.

Not the best of starts bless..Hope he has a nice day though..
My son started yesterday and he looked so smart and was so excited..
He has tests 2 days running now,, which i think has worried him a bit..
All the kids going to school this morning looked so smart, i hope they all have great days..x

Oh dear, Elizabeth, I hope you've got the transport sorted out now.

Tracey, I don't agree with giving tests to children immediately at the start of new year. It takes a while for them to settle back, so they often don't perform as well as they could. I think they should be given at least a couple of weeks before any tests. These days kids are tested far too much in my opinion.

So grateful , that my 3 are now in their 30s and school is now a memory . I found it was more stressful for me than my own school days ! Guess you can never stop worrying about them , it's part of being a parent . Jillyb

Well we weren't the only ones after all. seems like they have given the contract to yet another new company.Probably run by David Dickinson...as cheap as chips.

Mine all got off ok the bigguns in their 'smart work clothes' (not cheap) and the youngest in her uniform as usual.

Very proud of them and after l had partied......

Tony that was some party I hear!

Which bit did you miss, the bit that washes up or makes you a cuppa? No course I know how you feel, you always worry about them.

A taxi (with a human escort in a yellow bib) turned up today. He loves vehicles and travelling but I don't like sending him off to a new school with somebody he doesn't know and who doesn't know him. He might be frightened.

Right off for my fasting blood test. I'm starving.

Glad he was picked up Elizabeth on time, but l too would feel nervous about strangers taking one of my babies off like that.

Hopefully all will be well and he will be back ok and happy soon and you...that's YOU will have eaten!!

I was in the shower so OH got him into the taxi. I was worried as he is usually with people he knows. The escort will be crb checked for sure but still don't know my sons needs.

Yes back home to loads of food. The funny thing is I kept picking up food left around the house, going to eat it and realising I couldn't!

He has a space on a bus now.
