Steroid Jab

Hey
I had my first steroid jab on Monday. And omg is it working well. I have gone from awful pain in my knees, hip and what I would call 'normal' pain in my wrists etc to being about 95% pain free :P This is going to sound a bit strange as for the last 4 years not one day has gone by without pain in at least 2 joints and I almost feel kinda 'lost' now with no pain. I cant quite get my head around it and am finding that im walking funnily just waiting for it to hurt, and picking things up very carefully again waiting for it to hurt. :???:
I would love to know how long the depomedrone steriod jab has lasted for others that have had it? I was told it could last a week to 3 months but some people find it lasts longer. God I hope Im one of the people that find it lasts longer.

Hi Rosy
That's such great news! I 've not had the depo steroid jab...just the 'normal' shorter acting steroid IM and Joint ones.
I know what you mean about 'missing the pain' when you've had it so long and it's been so widespread.
I do hope you get a long reprieve from the pain of arther. Enjoy and the time and do some nice things to celebrate his absence. :!:

Hi Rosy,
They can last a good bit longer than the 3 months if your lucky.... Hope you are flower.
I have had a few and mine kinda average 8 weeks or so but you really can't say. Mine tended to be 4 months apart and I was always so glad to get the next one
Long may it work for you. Cris x0 -
