Ive been told my letter from my surgeon that when I get my talonavicular joint fused, my subtalar joint will not work. Does that mean it wont move at all, or will it be effected and not work as well.
Im really confused and google is not helpful with the right information.
Thank you.

Hello Sailrib
Sorry I can't help with your question but I am sure there will be others along in due course who can.

I am sure that you are confused. On the letter from your surgeon is there a telephone number for his secretary? I would give her a call. Refer to the letter you have received and ask her your question. If she does not know the answer ask her if she would kindly pass it by the surgeon and call you back.
I hope that you now know if you have to stop your anti inflams or not.

I feel I am getting more confused the closer the operation is.
I feel like I should ring my surgeon but he seems to never get back to me which is annoying.
I now know that my anti inflam is to be taken right up to when i go in to hospital on Wednesday. I think then, Wednesday night I wont take them.
I just dont know what to do??!!
I feel like I have 10,0000000 questions and I can not find the answers to them.

Do you have a kind GP Sailrib? They're usually my first port of call though, as Elna said, ringing the secretary ought to do it.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Sailrib,
I totally agree with the others but have also had a bit of foot surgery s think it will mean it doesn't move..... Its to stop the bones rubbing and it will so help with the pain. They also will do it at an ideal angle so you get the optimum usage from it.
When are you having it done? Will be in your pocket if you need and try to stay calm cus it ill really help you with the pain. Cris x0 -
Hi Sailrib
gosh!!!
You must be worried! I would be. I am sure they will tell you when you get there Wednesday but that is very 11th hour isn't it??? :???:
I tend to think it wont move by the sound of your letter, but is it able to move now? The pain will be gone....were you thinking of shoes? in the future??? Would it stop you going ahead with the surgery if it does mean this??
If I were you I would go and see you GP - you should be able to get in there before Wednesday.
Love
