Was wondering if anyone knew the reason why one day we are okish and the next in agony..
It amazes me sometimes that there are days when i can hardly walk, but the next day i can wake up and i can walk and have no pain, as if i was dreaming the previous days.. :???:
Is there a rational explanation or is it just how arthur attacks us???

This sounds like classic immune-based arthritis to me, traluvie. This is exactly what it does. Over the years I have learned to go with the flow and I freely admit I am very fortunate to be in the position where I can do just that. When the beast strikes all you can do is build in more rest times, break chores down into stages with little breaks in between, and try not to fret about what doesn't get done. I used to be fairly active around the house, it used to be tidy and organised; I look at it now and despair but then remind myself this is not my fault, it's the disease. I also comfort myself with the thought that only boring women have immaculate homes. Rest as much as you can, be kind to yourself and I hope you feel better soon. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

She's right, Traluvie. My lovely daughter-in-law has a mug with much the same thing written on it. Their house is untidy and not sparkling clean but is always open to the world to drop in and drop in they do. Housework is vastly over-rated.
I'm afraid this auto-immune stuff is like that - picks you up, drops you down again, always working to its own agenda, not yours. Just go with the flow as far as you can. Be open to adapt and change. It hates that!If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Tracy,
It is the nature of the disease but I think, also, that when we're feeling better we do more and therefore the joints can rebel when they're feeling tired.
On days when I've had a stomach upset or a bad cold and have to rest a lot I find arthur quite quiet the next day. Arthur doesn't like us to move that's why it used to be called Still's disease in children (sorry if I'm stating the obvious  ). Though the danger is if we give in and don't do anything our joints seize up altogether.
We have to make hay whilst the sun shines and suffer the consequences, I feel.
Hope you're having a 'better' day today.Love, Legs x

My friend had a mug that said 'I only have one nerve and you are getting on it.'
I have hunted far and wide but have not, as yet, found such a mug for me (it could be so useful at times  ) I shall stick to my Winnie-the-Pooh that a pupil gave me when I married Mr DD.
legs? I never knew that, what an interesting thing.Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -

.
You certainly did make me chuckle
No offence was taken
Talking about mugs, i brought myself a large black mug with sexy written across it in pink glitter, i loved it.thought it would give me some magic powers and make me a new woman.. . i had a cuppa in it this morning and noticed the sexy was peeling away..magic powers are now wearing thin.. :roll:xxTracyxx0 -
Oh dear! I have had some good giggles on AC this morning, this one included! If you can keep your sense of humour when all about you are losing their's you will still be a winner, my girl. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
