Well here's how my week been, you gotta laugh or you would cry!

Still in the middle of this bloody damn awful flare and back at work but took dog back to vet on Monday with lump on neck and poorly leg with lump (from few weeks ago still), was told lump on neck was cyst which needs removing, leg needs xraying cos think problem (maybe arthritis how ironic is that) and lump could be cancer. A sleepless night followed then they said 99% sure no cancer but needs removing, he having op for lumps removed on Friday and xrays done to see about leg but guess what at least £500 before any further treatment!!!!!!

Stange things started happening to my carpet and wallpaper last week, was a leak in downstairs toilet. Insurance covering it but now have five industrial dryers in the house which sound like rocket engines, no carpet in hall, floor in toilet, tiles on Walls in toilet, carpet in lounge, wallpaper on Walls and I feel like I am living on a bomb site. Australian friends visiting next week, oh bring it on nothing else can go wrong or can it??????

Good job I can chuckle hey, at least it's taking my mind off the pain.:lol::lol::lol:

    Wow..That is a manic week..
You doing a great job of keeping it all together, don't want to sound patronising, but well done for having the fight and spirit to keep going..You go girl..
So now you have a bombsite on your hands i suppose it is unfair to ask your friends to rearrange as i presume they would maybe loose money for changing,so i reckon it's best to inform them of the situation and then at least they know and therefore won't look so surprised when they walk through your door..Hope you manage to get your home back to normal soon ...
Regarding your Dog i hope he makes a full recovery,,

Keep up the good work but make sure you make some time for yourself to recuperate and rest otherwise you will have no fight left in you..

    Hi Tracey,

What a lovely thing to say thank you, some days I feel like I am definitely not keeping it together. The house will be wonderful when it's all re decorated but going to take a few months I think. Worst thing will be agreeing what wallpaper my husband bit old fashioned so could be sore point, ha ha.

Hoping to get some 'down time' at weekend looking after my poorly dog and resting with him. Our Australian friends said as long as beer in fridge they happy, bedrooms all ok so will be great to see them. Xx

give dog a hug for me do hope it not arther it costs a fortune to treat in dogs.
you are coping very well it would have been understandable if you had thrown your dummy out of pram but you are standing proud(well as much as any of us manage these days) they will not care about decoration so long as you are there (and beer) chill all you can and leaving ((())) to help through any bad days val

Flippin heck Anky, what a nightmare for you. Like to say it never rains but when it pours but that might not be the best way of putting things.
I thought we had problems when the bedroom ceiling came down in June due to the water tank overflow not working but it was nothing compared to your deluge. Those heaters are so loud too.
My friends dog has Arthur too it is such a shame to see them struggling to get up. Vet bills have shot up over the last few years, they just assume that everyone has pet insurance.
Good luck with the paper choosing as I have the same problem with my hubby mind you he thinks that wallpaper should last a life time and why would you want to change it anyway!!!
I hope the weekend brings a much quieter and dryer time for you, and your little doggy is more comfortable.

Oh heck Anky. What a blooming week.. I hope that the dog will be ok, those vets sure know how to charge eh?

Also hope that the house gets sorted very soon...

All this with a flare going on, are you ok too? You must be exhausted hun..

Try and look after yourself... It's very tempting and also easy to put yourself to the back of the list when life's wonderful 'events' are thrown our way..
Nice to know you are still smiling though

    Blimey Anky

I have seen those dryers in action before they are so annoying aren't they? but things have to dry out properly so they say.... :???:

The dog  I am sure the tests will come back ok, but you did the right thing taking him amd anky dont worry a few of Cris' animals have arthritis and there is treatment for them like for us.

The visitors though...... :???: .....l just hope they have a good sense of humour

    Love and hugs

    Toni xx

    Hi all,

You know how much your support means to me! Still got the dryers going and the noise is bloody awful but lots of water coming out of the walls, just wish it would hurry up! Finished my working week now till next Tuesday so can listen to the noise a bit more. xx

Val, dreading the final bill for the dog, if its Arthur it could be a lot of money over a lot of time, wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy especially not my lovely dog. I am trying to cope but can feel it all building, I am pretty good at wearing my ‘mask’. Our friends will be fine about it all it will just be great to see them from such a long way away, tinnys in the fridge what more could you want! xxx

Ironic, you are right it’s a bloody nightmare, looks like a tip in the house. Sorry to hear about your water leak as well, the heaters are so loud and the noise is just a droning noise that never seems to go away, you imagine after a while you would get used to it but I’m not unfortunately. Dog has no idea what’s in store for him tomorrow bless him, hope they can find out what’s wrong so at least we can sort it out and deal with it and of course rob a bank to pay for it. Typical man thinking wallpaper should last a lifetime that made me chuckle, my husband just like the complete opposite of what I like so will have to be a trip to the decorator centre to see what happens, maybe a large glass of wine before we go may help. Xx

Tony, wish tomorrow was over so know what’s wrong with my loyal friend and how much it gonna cost!!! House will be great when done just have to put up with the dirt, noise, mess …… arrrrggghhhh. To be honest this flare has been over a week now and not getting any easier if I am honest feeling very bad with pain and very low today, have finished work until next Tues so that should make it easier but am getting worried its been a while and doesn’t seem to be any light at the end of that very dark long tunnel. I can’t say its not starting to wear me down now but got to keep going never know what’s around the corner, except more pain an maybe some more wine. Xx  (I love your dancing man makes me chuckle everytime)

Juliepf, nearly time for the dog to find out so not long to wait now. Will get it all sorted eventually will be like a new house!! So excited about seeing our friends it will be great to have Aussie friends over, my husband is Australian so its always nice to see him with his fellow convicts! xx :P

Toni, annoying, frustrating, loud, big, horrible its all of them but they are doing the job so shouldn’t complain. Fingers crossed for the dog tomorrow got lots of TLC ready for him. As long as there is beer the visitors will be fine, will get them that drunk they will think it’s a new trend to have wallpaper and carpet missing. Xx

Mig, what a great idea will go and get him a bone now, oh you meant the dog I thought you meant my husband to keep him quite, he he. Bet your windows and doors look good. xx
