Hello dachshund, I hope I can help. Osteopenia is a condition where bone density is measured as being lower than might be expected (but not as low as osteoporitic bone) and the consolidation means that the bones are becoming stronger, more solid. I hope this helps. How is life without the plaster? Does your foot now feel as though it belongs to you? DD

i hope everyone's having a good day and not in too much pain.
yesterday i walked around sainsburys pushing a trolley i think it was a bit to far as today my foot hurts so its had the ice today.
i've gone back swimming and i go to physio and have a massage
my foot is feeling nearly normal before it felt numb and swollen
its nice to have my big toe up straight.
    thank you everyone.

Golly gosh Joan, you ARE doing well! I think that sometimes we walk further round supermarkets than we realise, possibly because the trolley supports us and we feel can get further and do more. I am not surprised your foot is hurting today, I hope the ice has helped and that you have been resting it. DD

    Hi Joan

good to see you and yes l agree with Hileena and the others. l have a friend who has osteopenea.

I think it's almost pre-soteoporosis because they do keep an eye on her.

The consolidation sounds like good news.

Well done you doing all you are doing l am very impressed

Lovely to hear your toe is now where it should be

    Love

    Hi Joan,

I think also that they are saying its not too bad and it is strengthening so thats good as well.

Glad you're giving it a run for its money but go a bit careful if it starts hurting flower.

Really pleased your doing so well and yep i am a fully paid up member of the do it and be damned brigade ... but just go a bit careful cus its still healing. A cuppa and a capachion to you and Sue. Cris xx

    Hi Joan,

I'm glad others are up to the mark with their medical vocabulary cos I hadn't a clue. However, I'm sure you're doing all the right things - as usual. Well done!

    Hi Joan
Great that you are getting about now. It's so lovely when the plaster comes off but at the same time you almost miss the security it gives.
It is so easy to overdo things when you are let free (especially with the shopping trolley),I've been there!!
    Just take things slowly.
