Sepia for hot flushes? Can anyone advise?
tillytop
Hot and cold flushes? Now I am REALLY desperate! Hardly any sleep, hours at a time spent literally shivering in a coat and scarf (yes really) under piles of blankets, with two hot water bottles, followed by periods of literally dripping, accompanied by palpitations, breathlessness, faintness.
Diet doing little to help and I think I am going to go completely stark staring bonkers if things don't improve.
I am sure that someone mentioned before that sepia helped them. Have got some now but have no idea what to do with it. Any advice welcome.
Thanks
A very desperate Tillyxxx

It pains me to say it but google et al might be useful for this. All I know about sepia is that I think it comes from cuttlefish. I'm sorry I cannot be of more help. DD

Hi Tilly,
Don't know anything avbout Sepia but sage is good for hot flushes.
Also Black Cohosh but I've not tried the Black Cohosh.
They are the little bottles (A. Vogel).

Poor poor Tilly
I think you should be taking some advice on this one...your docs not much good if l remember rightly??? What about the rhuemy nurses??? any good?? Pharmacist is my favourite port of call. They tend to know a fair bit and also would know if anything homeopathic would affect the meds you are already on too.
Love

Thanks all, as always, for your support and advice.
Despite another horrible night we are going out to the New Forest for the day today
I am fine in the car, with the air/con and heating available at the touch of a button and, we are planning lunch out - hopefully I can time lunch right so it occurs just after one "episode" and before the "next" (this is how I have to live my life these days ) but if not, I will just have to interrupt lunch to go out for an "airing" and I'm used to that. It can be embarrassing but I pretend I am outside using the phone or something.
Thanks again.

Hello peeps
Hope nobody thinks I am being rude bumping up my own thread but I am really hoping to that the person who mentioned, specifically, about using sepia to stop hot flushes when they occur will see my post. (Don't think I'm imagining it but you never know and I'm kicking myself cos I can't remember who it was ) .
Thanks.
A hopeful Tilly xxx
