Morning Val..
I am forever smiling at people i don't know lol.
I am generally a happy person so if i can share a bit of happiness i will..I am sure people think i/m crazy with the constant smile, but if you can turn that frown upside down then thats a good thing..
Great idea Val..xxxxTracyxx0 -
I always smile and say goodmorning when out on my scooter nipping down to the shops. It makes me feel better and even better if it is them that speak first.
Much easier to smile than frown.
Have a good day val

Ah! Innee lurvley?
I will do as you suggest valval, I have to go to the bank later (you get professional smiles from the staff) but I'll give it a whirl on any customers who might be there. Suffolk folk are a funny bunch tho. :???:Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
I always have tried to smile and be pleasant to strangers ; but unfortunately as I am in a wheelchair ; it backfires and the immediate response is always ; " wheelchair , disabled , soft in the brain area ! Do we pat her on the head or run like hell ? " Amuses my hubby no end ! I agree though , a smile goes a long way . Jillyb0

I've been at my art class all afternoon, so I've been smiling rather a lot. We have such a good laugh as we paint, so it's a wonder that we ever get anything done sometimes.
I smiled at one stranger as I walked to the shops later, and watched for her reaction. At first a puzzled look came on her face, but then she returned the smile, so it proves that it does work.0 -

You are right about neighbours, Val. I'm lucky because most people on my road have lived here for a long time ( many of them over 30 years, including me ) so we know each other well. But some new people moved in across the road about a year ago and I still don't know them. They avoid everyone, and don't reply if you say hello to them. Someone invited them to a party, but they sent a note to say that they don't mix with neighbours, so they wouldn't be coming. At least they were honest, but it seems such a shame to be like that. :roll:0 -
