Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your support.
I didnt see the main man.....first time in all these years , different hospitals and different depts etc that I havent seen the main one. No complaints...it was his senior registrar and he was much nicer than the consultant.
The results were the same....as I expected...nothing they can do.
My physio [havent seen him for months] referred me to him and apparently thought a root nerve { or is it nerve root} injection  might help. He says no. That injection temporarily helps sciatica and I dont have sciatica....I agree with him I dont think I do. The most I have is an ACHE not a pain down the front of my right leg....thats the one where I had the THR...nothing in the back of my leg at all.
So am waiting for the dexa scan to see about osteoporosis or not. I'm pretty certain I have.
Now I'm waiting for the appointment with the consultant to see about my gall bladder....that is an unknown quantity  bones etc I know about...gall bladder I dont.
So thats it.....seems thats all they can do bone wise for me.
Love
Hileena

Hmmm. An ache - could that be caused by walking awkwardly thanks to the two fractures? To be honest hileena, I have lost track of you and the appointments. I am hugely embarrassed  and I apologise for being so lax. As for the rest of it, I am available for any pocket duties as and when. Promise. DD

Hi DD, I could be wrong but I'm sure the ache all comes from the THR that didnt go as planned. I dont expect you to keep up  You have your own problems.
    Hi Val.....well as I expected and the next appt will be a completely unknown, to do with my gall bladder this time....nothing to do with bones {back/hips or anything else}
Hi May Although my GP is on holiday I rang reception when I got home and she checked the notes and said it looked as if it had been chased up last Wed {when I reminded the GP} but nothing yet...try again within the next couple of days.!!Havent even heard about an appt to do with gallbladder yet...just that he was referring me???????
Hi Tilly....No not too fed up....I went expecting much the same....could have done without the wait mind

You seem to do a lot of waiting, Hileena. I’ll be there for the next one. Threat or promise? You decide.

    Hi Hileena

You deserve a medal for all the waiting about you've had to put up with all these months.... not to mention the pain you must have experienced with the fractures etc...

I'm disappointed for you Hileena that the back doc can't offer you any relief from the back ache/ pain :???:

.... despite these constant 'non sequiturs' you have been so stoic in accepting all that's been thrown at you. :!: I don't know how you do it... but admire your courage. :!:

You can count me in for the next appointment Hileena...

Hi, Sorry you didn't get a diagnosis and help, but at least the dexa scan might show them something and then they'll be able to give you the right treatment. At least the scan isn't anything to awful, I had one and it was just like lieing on a couch with a thing like an ironing board over you. Mine only took about 10 mins. Love Sue

    Dear Hileena

I agree with Iris, you deserve a medal for all that has been going on with you and all the appointments. Like Iris again, I admire your courage and your sense of humour through all this. So, onwards we go with you Hileena, to the dexa scan and the gall bladder appointment. I don't know how you find the time to do anything else, with all these appointments.

    Keep strong,

    Love
    Elna x

Sticky....still not sure whether it is a threat or a promise
Iris...the fractures are sorting themselves out now...the pain isnt bad now {not including arthur and scoliosis} they'll always be lurking about
Sue....I had a dexa scan about 3 years ago which showed osteopenia so the one i had last month...when eventually the results come back I expect it to say osteoporosis.....thats not me being pessimistic...just realiastic.
Elna.....They do seem to come fast and furious...dont they  I think thats the last one for the minute....the next thing will be the GP when she gets results for the dexa scan back, and some time  this consultant for the gall bladder but no point even thinking about that at the min....well not until i get that letter from the hospital.

    Hi Toni and Lynn
Thanks for the Cup Toni.....but I found some dust on it...you didnt polish it properly :lol::lol:
Lynn.....I'm not bothered about the back appt...didnt expect anything, wasnt even sure who had referred me. I rang his secretary and asked and it was the physio. Still didnt know why? He said that the physio suggested a root nerve or is it nerve root injection :lol: but he said that does help SOME people but only ones with sciatica and you havent sciatica.
Thank goodness. Something I HAVENT GOT  normally its easier to say whats right with you? not whats wrong with you

    Hi Hileena,

so if you are stuck with the back pain, did they have any suggestions for easing it etc pain clinic referral etc?

What is the story on the second THR?

Gall bladder problems ... several people I know have had ops for this. Usually keyhole.

    Speedy
I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

    Hi Hileena,

I so agree with Speedy (hi flower xx) and a pain clinic referral would rally help you.
I am sorry your being shoved from pillar to post and really hope they will draw it all together and actually do something to help you! Its well past time they did but sorry this was yet another of those iffy type appointments.

Hang in there flower and leaving a ((((( ))))) and a cuppa with a bit of jam and cream sarnie... but only a small bit... it was bigger when i made it for you  Love Cris xx

    Hi Speedy,
Mt GP is going to refer me to a pain clinic but as she puts it ..."thats for the old problems that are long standing" she means the OA and Kypho scoliosis. She says she wants to get this new one sorted first....thats the fractured pelvis/fractured SI joint and any underlying causes. I think we have almost got those sorted. The fractures are gradually healing themselves. Waiting for the Dexa scan, and waiting for an appt with a consultant about the gallbladder....its up to him to see if he thinks I need an ERCP and if so and that doesnt work its a gallbladder removal. If not....Not sure???
As for the THR.?????????? Not a clue. The orthos words last September {1 year ago  } were lets see if this is referred pain from your back, it was, he referred me to a back specialist and said he would do the 2nd THR once my back was sorted  Its still not sorted. Do I want a 2nd THR? Unless its absolutely necessary NO!!!!!!! I've been prodded and pushed and pulled for so long I dont want the 2nd one now. If he had done it last Oct when it was scheduled for things would be fine.Sorry for the rant.
Hi Cris....just answered you pm. Well you knew I wasnt expecting much from this back specialist so not disappointed....one more that I can cross off the list and think I wont be hearing from him again
The pain clinic will come. Eventually.
Are you still nibbling the food before it gets sent :lol::lol:
    Love
    Hileena
