Back on the waiting game again!

Hi, I've had a sort of funny day today, I think I'll go and see my GP and chat to her in a week or so, give the hospital time to write to her. I know these things take a long time, but, I'm fed up!
Also, I keep trying to diagnose myself, which is silly, but, I can't help it. My diagnosis are much worse than any the docs come up with! Neuropathic pain is what I'd thought myself though, as it my neck always starts with sharp pain leaving a dull ache. Oh well, its back to waiting again! Better day today though than yesterday! Love Suexxx

Self-diagnosis is a dangerous game, Sue, especially with the aid of Mssrs Google & Wikipaedia. A couple of years ago Mr SW diagnosed himself with Motor Neuron Disease and hardly dare see the doc let alone the specialist who assured him it was Benign Fasciculations (Twitchy Legs to you & me). We all do it although we know it's much better not to.
I think it's the waiting game that's tough. We instinctively want to 'fill the vaccuum' to shorten it. But, as with many things, it's often a matter of ruling stuff out before they can say, with certainty, what it actually is. Being' fed up' is, I think, a perfectly sensible reaction. It's hard not to even think of such things when they make their presence felt so much.
I hope you can have a good weekend. Come here and talk to us as/when/if it helps. I hope you can get some answers soon.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I am self-diagnosed as being perfectly fit and healthy - it's the docs who are up the wall. As sticky said, come and talk to us, we may not have any answers but we are good listeners. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Oohh it's so easy to self diagnose with the 'tinternet' at our finger tips, just try to be patient and use the 'tinternet' to shop problem solved. Well it works for me anyway. Hope you feel brighter soon and get your diagnosis. XxAS Sufferer

Hi, yes I do feel better today. I always feel tired after anything out of the usual also the stress, I think is not good and probaly resposible for a lot of the fatigue, it seems to bring on a slight flare of the arthritis symptoms, my neck, back and hands were very stiff and sore yesterday, but feel a lot better today.
Well the sun is shinning and its quite warm outside so I think I'll go and 'take the air' (not sure where I'll take it too!@
Thank you for the posts, they help a lot.
