Our lovely Poppyg1rl has an MRI scan on Wednesday, She's hoping they'll sedate her because lying in one position for longer than 5 mins is not possible.
I think a few good wishes might help.

Thanks for letting us know Sticky,
Hi Poppy,
I do hope that they help you with the sedation on Wednesday, I know it will be a worry for you.
Sending you lots of good vibes and a few extra hugs.

Thankyou so much Sticky for starting this thread, I'm so humbled by everyone's kindness and support, it really does mean so much to me, I can't tell you how much I need it at the moment.
The hospital rang today and told me the good news that they will sedate me for mri thankfully, the shoulder pain has reached new heights of pain recently, it alternates between a pain like a serrated knife in the joint it is so sharp, and a deep throbbing pain all over my collarbone down to the arm and shoulder blade. Not long now till my op, it's very unlike me but, im not worried about it at all, i'm at the stage that I honestly can't take much more of this and I couldn't care less what the surgeon does as long as the shoulder pain stops.
I'm not able to type very well, this reply has taken forever to do! I haven't been on the forum much as I'm dosed up with oromorph but I want to say I thank all of you my friends and sent a healing one armed hug to you all.'grá agus solas'

Hi Poppy
Hope you have as good a night as is possible.....probably a silly thing to say
Glad you are getting sedation.
You are right....not much longer now.
That oromorph really does do it doesnt it.....I was on it and then went on to slow realse morphine...i was like a zombie at first but got the dose under control
Great to see you on line
Love

Morning poppy, I hope you had as good a night as possible given the circs, keep up with the oromorph etc and I hope you are able to gain some sort of relief from it. Don't worry about posting, keep in touch with your PA somehow and I am sure they will relay anything on to us. You are to rest that shoulder (and you) it does not need the strain of anything un-necessary - blimey, did I just hint that the forum is un-necessary? Yup, I reckon that currently for you it is. You know we are here, you know we care, and you also know we don't need you to log in. OK? Remember your four effs. TOY. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Yes! Group hug, everyone! Squash up a bit and we'll all get in.
Good news about the sedation, Poppy. As for the op itself, I've always found it a big help if one can go in feeling you don't care what he does cos anything has to be better. You're doing great. Keep going. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hello Poppy,
I hope all went well today and you will be home very soon.
Gentle hugs flower,

Hi all,
Got home ages ago but went straight to bed as I was shattered (didn't sleep well) I went well, rather noisy even with the earmuffs! and clostraphobic but, my sister (nurse) advised me to take some oromorph an hour before i went so was already bit sleepy/groggy, so sedation not needed. Results will be with my consultant when I next see her in around 3 weeks.
Thankyou for all your support you lovely people, it meant a lot to know you were thinking of me.
Take care all, an a one armed groggy hug from me'grá agus solas'

Hi poppy
Glad everything went ok for you. I felt clorstraphobic too and kept my eyes shut the whole time.
Good luck for when you see the doc in 3 weeks time
Take care
