Hi
Well it wasnt a very satisfactory appointment tonight. He said he wasnt sure why i had been sent to him
He also said having seen me and reading the letters that he had from other consultants he didnt feel justified doing this ERCP which is very invasive and can cause peritonitis {along with other things} just through their poking and prodding {his words}. He wanted to talk to some of his "x ray buddies" and see if they thought it was justified....basically that was it....he will write to me by the end of the week {one way or the other} or poss the beginning of the following week.
So no further foward....still dont know whats causing the nausea or lack of appetite.
Oh well. round and round we go.
Love

Hi Again,
If he doesn't know why you were sent to him he needs to contact who did send you and ask.
Sounds like you are seeing every consultant and getting nowhere.
Just don't go back to the first one and start the rounds again I don't think we could take it.
Oh boy I hope after he sees the xrays he doesn't do it unless he thinks it's absolutely necessary.
Keep in touch

i bet you are feeling bit on fed up side know i would the effort it takes to get there we always want to get positive feed back but at least he did not go ahead with something you might not require valval0

Oh I'm sick as a chip Another appointment with no real outcome.
Will he do this or will he not? If he's not that sure about it what difference will it make to my health? {apart from driving me silly in the process }
At least as you say.....he's not doing something straight off that he thinks may not be necessary.

Hi Hileena
I have not been able to follow how you are getting on but it sounds as if you are not getting very far with a diagnosis on why you are so unwell. I am now feeling well enough to join in again and hope things start to go better for you soon. It has been such a long haul for you lately. Hang in there and hopefully the doctors will get to the bottom of all your problems. Stay strong, sending you huge hugs and sorry I havent been here for you for a while xxBig Hugs

Good Morning Hileena
I have thought of you often over the last few weeks and feel so sorry that you still havent got the answers you are looking for. I am feeling much better now. I am four and a half weeks post op and to be honest the first three weeks were not good at all. I felt really down, helpless and so tearful but I have turned a corner and am now feeling positive and I have much more energy. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and am now looking forward to all the things I will be able to do soon. I still cant sleep well but that seems to be very common after THR. I hope you have a good dayBig Hugs

Dear Hileena
I am so sorry that this latest appointment was not good. At least he is being thorough but you do seem to be going round in circles a little now, through no fault of your own.
I really do not know how you keep so strong with all that is going on with you, you have most definately got stamina.
Hugs

Hi Jean and Elna
Jean I did answer this.....went and had a coffee came back and it wasnt there
I'm glad you are feeling better now and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Its normal not to be able to sleep after a THR.....dont think I've met anyone that has had a good nights sleep in that 6 weeks time
Is it 6 weeks or 12 weeks with your restrictions? Mine was 6 but I know some were told 12.....6 was more than enough
Hi Elna, I do feel as if i'm going round in circles and getting nowhere fast.
Dont know that I keep strong!!! I'm fed up and angry as well....so many appointments now that have said cant do anything or words to that effect :x

Hi Hileena,
Well I am so sorry that you have had yet another wasted appointment it really is outrageous how things have been going for you.
I agree with Toni..the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing.
Lots of hugs and a cuppa for you and Mr H.

Hi Hileena
So sorry I missed seeing this post earlier.
What can I say?... are they all incapable of communication, making a decision, giving you a diagnosis and... wonder of wonders...treating you
I'm amazed that you have managed to stay sane through all of this debacle!
Round and round Hileena... you must be heartily sick of it all. :!:
I do hope that you get a letter, as promised, with the consultant's decision following his consultation with the x ray people.
((((hugs)))) and hopes for some answers.....

Hi, so sorry you are being sent on the consultant merry go round too.
It feels pretty crap being sent from one consultant to another, I know as I am trying to get my diagnosise defined once and for all.
Havent kept up to speed with what is happening with you but have got the jist and can empathise.
I know it can feel pretty grim at times but there are people on here who care and will support you.
Try and keep positive. Take CareClare xx0 -
Hi, This consultant merry-go-round seems to go so long it makes me feel sick! I'm sorry you had a negative experience, but if doc does check back maybe he'll contact you with a better explanation of whats going on.
I'll never forget having a back MRI and ending up with a gynae problem!
Hope you can soon have things sorted out for you, its so frustrating and bad for your state of mind, let alone trust in the medical profession.....

Morning
Well still feel pretty awful.....{not pain} just dont know whats happening....I hate this "up in the air" feeling.
How do they manage to do it Sue.....from a back MTI to gynae problems????
With me.....sprained sacro illiac joint to a fractured pelvis to a fractured pelvis AND fractured sacro illiac joint and now my gall bladder but with that one he said I dont know why you were sent to me? Magic first words at an appointment.
Are they keeping themselves in a job....bouncing you from one person to another??

Morning, know what you mean, it does feel like they are keeping themselves in jobs!! Can these peeps read the scans I wonder!
Glad pain is not causing probs today, the up in the air feeling is horrible. Do something enjoyable (if u can) today.
Take care

Hi Hileena, Just wanted to say I suffer from Nausea and lack of appetite. My doctor put it down to the meds I was taking. Unfortunatly I just have to go with it or eat several small meals a day. But I do feel for you being left hanging for a reply! Don't these consultants realise the stress it causes makes us ill as well!!! Hope you hear an answer soon. bubbadog0

Thanks Clare, been out for coffee with a friend this morning and this afternoon.....OH and myself went for a drive and stopped for more coffee I didnt even manage to finish the cappucino he bought me.
Bubbadog.....did you doc say any specific medicines???
I'm on paracetamol {have been for years} naproxen slow release {long time} the only recent ones are morphine for a fractured SI joint and fractured pelvis and they are now cut down to the minimum without coming off them, I think my next prescription I'll be off them....dont think its them.
Iron????have to take that for another couple of months
The usual stomach liner....that shouldnt do it Thats about it except for an anti emetic she gave me which didnt seem to work so I thought well thats another 3 tablets a day and if they arent working why take them
Love
