Hello everyone and thankyou for popping in
Forgive me for not typing all your names but this one finger dance across th keyboard takes some doing.
WELL believe this We got to the hosp at about 9.10, sat in car and had a quick cuppa..(rich makes a flask every time but I must admit he makes a brilliant cuppa ) No rush appointment time 10am
Got to the waiting area at 9.20, checked in then got out the kindle, read one page and then a nurse came out and called my name
So I saw nursey one who , yes linda did the mrsa swabs again took blood pressure and the dreaded weigh in. (put on 2lb with all this stress)
Then sat a few mins to wait for nursey two , who asked has anything changed.
Got sent for pads on chest (cant think of name) for heart.
Waited again for doc who was very nice. Had a little chat and appologised that this op hasn't yet been done. He still couldn't give me a date but hopes it wont be long. He then sent me for more bloods and another chest xray.
Was out of the hospital and been pushed up to the car at......11am all finished
So now its the waiting game again.....but....hopefully soon.
The dance round the pole that you peeps did, certainly worked at getting me through that app quickly....good work and thank you
Take care everyone

Hi Julie
So glad your appointment was over and done with quickly
Hope you get a date for your operation very soon, the waiting and wondering is not good. At least when you get a date you can start to prepare and plan for it xxBig Hugs

I am so pleased it went so smoothly, could that be an omen? (())Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

have read this thread ( as u know I am a newbee to the forum)
It really is a love-hate relationships with ops isnt it? Sitting here with my stupid leg in plaster now there was a time when I wanted the operation to be "tomorrow". Stressing about the "having it or not or when" was horrible. Then, when the day comes, I always think "i dont want to do this, and want to runaway" ( of course most of us here cant probably run, but you know what I mean. ) I hope you get your date soon. Here in my health authority they have some kind of charter which means ur supposed to get a date within 3 months - so long as you are well enough for the op.
Best wishesCAROL (Cacyhi)0 -
Hi Julie,
Glad it was quick and went ok and will keep everything crossed that they will give you a date very soon now.....
