Why is it....

that everytime I have a relatively good day it is followed by two blooming bad days?
Saturday was so so, not good but not bad either. I actually managed to go food shopping with hubby though I went mad and spent a fortune , must've been the excitement of seeing proper shelves instead of virtual ones.
Sunday I had a brilliant day and managed to go visit my friend who lives in a split level house with lots of stairs ( we all know how arther feels about stairs!)for first time in ages. We had a lovely day chatting, its so much better face to face than online or telephone.
Monday the pain started and has just got worse since. I'm actually almost at point where I just want to chop my legs off. I know I need to move but I also know it's going to hurt like blazes and being a big scaredy cat I'm too scared to move. Would wriggling my toes count d'you think? Sorry if this reads like a moan I just wondered why every good day is followed by two bad days. Maybe it's arthers payback for my having fun without him on Sunday. :???:

we do to much on the good days to make up for not managing the bad yes moving toes does count as does stretching legs and moving them while not weight bearing just keep them moving good luck val

That always happens to me, and probably most of us too..
It is really weird how one day we can be fine, hardly even tell you have arthur then in the next breathe you are riddled withy it..
The good thing is you had a good weekend and was able to enjoy yourself, just unfortunate you have to pay the price for it now..Put your feet up and relax for a while , keep on top of pain meds and hope ypu feel betetr soon..

Thanks Val for such a prompt reply. I'm wiggling my toes as I type I just hope the cats don't wake up and decide to pounce on them. They're currently curled up sleeping at bottom of the bed.

On the 'better' days we feel more able to do stuff, so we do. As a result of this it is possible for an over-indulgence in activity to innocently happen and the body indignantly reacts with payback.

Even on the better days build in a rest period every now and again, and stop when you think you can do more. It is frustrating but I reckon it is the only way to minimise matters. I hope the payback eases soon. DD

    Hi Angie

    not fair is it

One good day followed by a couple of not so good days, but, that one good day was so worth it yes?

    Hope you feel better tomorrow
(but if you do take it a bit easier eh? )
