I thought I wouldn't have to go back for stitches out until Friday 14th but I had a letter telling me to go on the 7th  I'll be very nervous cos I know they're gonna hurt me so I can't vouch for the stability of my pockets. At least I'll get an idea of what he's done because all I know right now is that it hurts!! I have to be there at 1.30pm and will be taking some chocolates for my wonderfully good looking surgeon and bickies for the nurses and casting room staff.

Hi Cloud
Count me in for pocket duty on friday. I will bring chocs too, but I must warn you I am a bit messy with choc. I dont know how I do it but I always end up sittin on some
Hopefully your stiches won't hurt as much as you think. I was terrified of having stitches out. But it didn't hurt one bit. I didn't look and was pleasantly surprised when she said ...ALL DONE
Hugs & courage

Ooh Cloud... you really know how to spoil people ... chocolates for the surgeon and biccies for the nursing staff.! they'll definitely take extra care now when removing your stitches.
I'll be with you in spirit on Friday...... I'm sure all will go well and as Julie said.. :???: don't look and it'll be over in a min

Aw, dear Sue,
Of course you want support with this, especially after looking after others on the forum and the medical staff with gifts.. They will not hurt, you my lovely, when you have the stitches out and if they do a tiny bit, it will not be intentional, keep deep breathing, eyes shut and think, better out than in and it will soon be over. What a lovely thought taking in goodies for the surgeon and medics. Will you give the pressies out before or after the stitches are out? I will be thinking of you on the 7th and I know it will go ok for you.
Sending over gentle hugs

You're all so sweet. Of course there will be enough chocolate to go around. If you want to see how cute my surgeon is, (Mark Farrar), just google him. He can have his chocolate just whenever he wants it cos I usually get a bit of a cuddle from him 8)Sue (Cloud9)0

Sue, after what you did for me today - you know I will be there in your pocket on Friday for you. Is it a good sign that that want to take the stitches out earlier than you thought!!! I realise the one lucky stroke Ive had was the fact that I had dissolvable stitches!!! What would you like me to bring ? Im thinking some soothing aromatherapy oil - my favourite is sweet orange which is quite uplifting in moments of stress. I said to my plaster room staff today that the next time I go back I will be taking them goodies (they certainly deserve them).CAROL (Cacyhi)0

Sue will be in your pocket on Friday, you will be fine having them out and anywhere that feels a bit tight /pulling now, will instantly feel better, ,look forward to you messaging in and saying we were right!(((()))) Take care Linda0

I don't know Carol, I'm guessing that they maybe just want to check that everything is still in the place they wanted it. I know they won't take out the stitches unless they're sure I'm healed.
I know what you mean Tony, it can be a kind of strangely nice feeling when they come out. (I'm just really scared in case they find another haematoma! :???: ) Although, that may be another reason why they're calling me in early........better safe than sorry I suppose.Sue (Cloud9)0 -
count me in for pocket duties
I hope that things go really smoothly for you. Sometimes (most times for me  ) the fear of these things is a lot worse than reality.
will be thinking of you. I hope you've got large pockets, as littlelegs says she's coming too - she likes to hoover up the crumbs/chocs/biscuits/ crisps etc
hugs (((())))
