Oh what a week! Not only do I have the worst cold in world, (well, its just a headcold, nothing very interesting), but this morning I had a phone call from DWP and they want me to go for a medical on the 19th of Oct. I was supposed to go in the early spring, but had a message just before we left home, to cancel due to the doctor being ill.
I heard nothing from them until today and now I have to go, but haven't had any forms asking supid questions through, this time, so suppose they will use the forms they sent me before. Not only do I not remember what I wrote, although I know I copied them at the time, but they are out of date as to the things I can and can't do. Over the summer I have had more problems with my neck and arms and also depression for which I am having treatment. They will have no account from me or my doctor about this. Maybe they will send me forms but, the time is getting on to for them to be filled in and I know that my GP is due to go away next week. Oh joy, I'm fed up and wonder if its worth going through all this hasstle for. Sorry, moan over. Love Suexxx

Hi Sue... the dreaded ATOS medical again. :x
If you still have the previous form you completed.... what about looking at that as a guide and adding any additional information / changes in mobility, medication etc in a letter.Also.. you still have time to get a report from your doc which you could submit as evidence.?
I've posted this link to directgov which is worth looking at as it goes into detail of what the assessment comprises and the factors they consider/ points system. (From page 17)
http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg/groups/dg_digitalassets/@dg/@en/@disabled/documents/digitalasset/dg_177366.pdf
Again perhaps you could use it as a guide?
I know how disheartening the process is.... more so when you aren't feeling too well.
Chin up Sue...xxx and good luck.

I think I do have copies, but my GP is going on holiday and I'm not sure that I can catch her, I'll certainly try! Thanks for the link it is helpful, I've just read it through quickly but will study it later. Thank you so much for giving it to me and the support, I am a bit down at the moment, keep catching things. Feel better today, though!

you can do it - you know you can you 'won' before. Hope the cold lets up a little so you have a bit more energy to do the forms.

If i was you id make an appointment with gp/specialist and ask them for something you can forward on or even hand to them on the day....Go armed and prepared girl!!! Lambast them with info!!
But honestly i know how stressful it is and its a pain in the posterior for such a meagre sum but good luck for 19th!!
