well, after a good weekend with two bbq's I was really struggling with the payback.. Hadn't really done much other than standing up too long, you know, hardly pushing the boundries of my bodily ability  ....
Now it seems more than just payback, everything is joining in.. From my fingertips to my shoulders, from my legs to my ibs...
It's the joys of Captain Flareup and his second in command Sergeant Stressbucket.
A nastier pair of skallywags shall not be found anywhere..
Both intent on causing misery and pain. They can always be found in the aftermath of enjoyment, like a pair of savage wedding crashers waiting to pounce

Damn you, you evil pair of ne'er do wellers :evil

Oh dear, Tony mate, this phacking disease. We have the temerity to 'live' a little and what happens? A short (or maybe not) sharp (definitely) reminder that we are not like others and how bl**dy dare we think we are?

I am so sorry, you know what I am going to say now - rest, rest and rest some more. It will pass, mate, all things do, stroke that wonder moglet for all you are worth and I hope things ease soon. DD

Oh, go on then, seeing as it's you: () followed by a gentle slap on the back.

Thanks, it means a lot to know I can moan a bit every now and then
    Bloody pain pirates eh
    Lol

I appreciate the messages, very much. And the rarest of rarities, a DD hug  :wink:
I will stroke The Great White Dope (no, not a euphemism  ) Ra and see if that helps. He is currently snoring.. Probably dreaming of the time he vanquished Gordon the evil carrier bag.. Good times

    bless ya hun..
I'm afraid even if I could venture out I wouldn't as at the minute it's not just the joints flaring up but the ibs has joined in too..
One thing I really don't need is to be running (yeah right, lol) to the loo every ten mins right now, in enough pain as it is..
People without arthritis just don't have a clue about all crap (ahem, forgive the pun) that comes with it.. They just think that you get the odd twinge every now and then and that you should get out more and jog or go to the gym :green
Sorry.. Bit carried away there. Lol

Aw Tony, I am so sorry. Life can be very unfair at times. One thing though is that you always write in such an entertaining way. IBS and arthur cannot and will not take that away from you. You zap around the forums, supporting others although you are suffering yourself. It has been noted and is appreciated. I do hope that you feel a tad better soon. You are a great guy supporting others where and when needed.

What a shame Tony. You really need to think about these guys before you go enjoying yourself and especially twice in one weekend .

Yes standing is the problem and its hard to mingle while sat on a chair. For me everybody is out of earshot unless I stand up and they talk over your head if you remain seated.

Its the price we pay for socialising.

Hope you feel better after a day or two's rest,
