WELL MY DAUGHTER HAS STOPPED TAKING ALL HER MEDS SHE SAYS SHE WANTS TO GIVE IT A TRY, AND TO SEE HOW SHE FEELS, HOSPITAL HAVE SAID ALL SHE NEEDS TO DO IS RING IF THE RA GETS BAD AND THEY WILL BOOK HER IN FOR THE INFUSION, WILL HAVE TO SEE HOW SHE GOES, DONT SUPPOSE I CAN BLAIM HER FOR WANTING TO GIVE IT A GO I JUST HOPE IT DOES NOT COME BACK WITH A VENGENCE

    All you can do is support her, she is obviously going through a difficult time. Maybe a touch of denial?? We have all done it, I hope her RA doesn't escalate too badly. At least you have the option of being able to call the hospital at any time.

    It is tough being a mom.

    I don't blame her either for wanting a break. I think that one of the problems with the meds is the high expectations people have of them (and the spin the docs try to give them). The meds, if suitable, should ease symptoms sufficiently to help one cope better and I was told that their main role is to slow further joint damage. I am currently off my combination of humira and meth due to an infection and yes, I feel so much better without them so I am not looking forward to re-starting. I wish your girl well and I hope her RA stays away. DD

    Thanks x i have just emailed a homepathy woman to see whay she says its got to be worth a go i suppose i will keep everything crossed. the rheamy nurse is great she said its something she probably need to do so she can be sure before and if she starts the infusions

    I did the same few years ago and tried the Margaret Hills it worked for while but then stopped, good luckto her. Xx

    you must be very worried, but your daughter is young and l sundestand her wanting to try off all meds.

    I will hope for the very best and if you need me to l will give RA a bash too c025.gif

    Just wanted to say i am thinking about you, you are doing a great job supporting your daughter and i hope that she finds some comfort soon..Let us know how she is getting on and send her our love..x
