You might be interested to know Blue Peter are showing a short film next Monday to highlight JIA.It is for their Children In Need appeal which donated to the CCAA (Childrens Chronic Arthritis Association) family fun weekend at Avon Tyrell in the New Forest this summer. Anything that highlights JIA and makes people aware of this condition has got to be a good things for all us parents out there with kids affected.

That IS good. Might be worth letting school now so that they can record it and use it for arther awareness.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

I have just watched Blue Peter and found it very moving, my heart goes out to Molly & her family.
My daughter was involved in the filming & was seen taking part in the activities.
This film could be useful for a teacher to show a class of younger children to make them understand what your child is going through.
When my daughter was at infants school the teacher read the class the book 'Tim has arthritis', which i think did help.
Its much more difficult now my daughter is a teenager to make her peers understanding of this awful condition.
Thanks Blue Peter i think the film got Molly's story across well.

I found that very moving. I had a little lump in my throat too. I'm glad some awareness is being put out there. I've found a lot of people really don't understand inflammatory arthritis.

I just watched this on iplayer. So moving, brought a tear to my eye and a lump to my throat.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

Kayleigh and me were in tears. Kayleigh asked "does she have like me?" so I replied yes then the injections were brought out, exactly the same as Kayleigh's MTX and Enbrel suddenly Kayleigh said " she has my injections too and she doesn't like it either" she then asked "does she cry to" I said to her "I think she does as she's very upset already talking about it"

I've got a feeling somewhere in Kayleigh's head a little light came on bless her as she realised that others have to have the same medicine as her. She already knows a few other children with it through hydro.
