Finally got new hossie appointments through this morning
1st one is investigatory appointment then 2 weeks later the discussion of findings Hopefully this new hospital and rheumatologist will see whats wrong and give some treatment ! rather than tell me theres nothing he can do just got to live with it!! fingerz crossed !
Would appreciate pocket dwellers please with lots of pokes so i dont forget to ask and tell how it is
Should i tell the new rheumy what other hospital rheumy diagnosed or see what he comes up with ?

Hi Rose
Remind at the time please about pocket duties  ..I'll be there def.
As for the diagnosis......I think i would see what this one says first....let him tell you everything he is going to.
If after that you feel inclined then mention the other rheumy.
I dont think I would but ideas into his head to start with
Others might have completely different ideas but wait and see what comes in

have you got a pain map they are very good save having to list where it hurts and how often . do not tell him what they have come up with unless he asks he will probabully want to make up his own mind that will give you a better idea what is what good luck valval0

Thank god the appointment is through Rose!!
Start writing down those questions you want to ask and no dont say what DR M said, let the new rheumy come up with his diagnosis first.
Who are you going with ?
I will be thinking of you and let me know how you get on please?

Will be there Rose you can count on me - when is the first one?

I am glad to hear you have the appointments through and I would advise not telling the new people any of the thoughts of the other people. It's best to let them draw their conclusions form what they see rather than 'colour' their views before they start. We will be here for pocket duties as and when required so don't be afraid to ask. Take care. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

hi rose,
one handed sorry.
glad you have the opinion to come and about...... time!
i would just see what he says and not tell him about the others findings... or lack of..... and hopefully you will get some help with some of it at last.....
you know i think its well overdue.....
oh bre..... i think i might be creating a monster......
you have big pockets and if you need you can borrow the jacket.... you seen it girl its got 100's of pockets but also a odd smelly the sheep and i don't talk about love, hugs and a cuppa and a big at long last they have done something to shift the stale mate. cris cxx0 -
Hi Rose
I would play it by ear but let him do all the asking, talking and examining first. You do not want to waste vauable time with this rheumi going over what the other one said or did not say or do. If you see this rheumi again, after the two appointments, then you could throw something in on that appointment if you thought it relevant.
You know what the other rheumi did or did not do, that is the most important. The rheumi you will be seeing, will probably not be that interested, thinking about it. You have the advantage of being able to weigh them both up in your mind after the second appointment.
I wish you well with it.

Hi there Rose
I will be with you on the day I'll do pocket duties but you will have to remind me as well, my head is to cluttered not to much gets through. I as well would not say anything to the new doc, let them tell you what they find. Dont forget to remind me please.

HI rose as with above, let new rheumy give his thoughts first, go armed with your list of pain levels/ joints, what makes it worse/easier. what it stops you doing/affects on mobility , if pain wakes you in the night etc and leave a copy with him for your notes, . Let us know when you need us for pocket duty ((()))) Take care Linda0
