Hi all

Been to the rheumy clinic today and my CRP is right down to 4, which I was told was normal.

I had my first infusion of Rituximab a few months ago and at that point CRP was up to 30. Diagnosed with severe sero-positive RA 13 yrs ago.

Also a few folks have told me over these last few weeks 'You look better' which is something unusual for me to hear.

So just to say to the peeps who are really stuggling, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Just hope it doesnt decide to go out for me. :)

On the downside both my knees will need replacing very soon (had one hip replacement) so thats the source of a lot of pain at the mo.

Kath x

    Aw, Dear Kath,

That is such good news, not about your knees but the Rituximab. I too hope that the light at the end of the tunnel continues to shine for you. About time too. I am so pleased for you. The knees can be sorted with an operation(s) if you can bear it.

Thank you for sharing your news,

    Love and fluffy hugs,

    Elna x

Thank you Elna, Val, Sticky and Anky

Yes it is good news and whilst I have been on here since around 2004, (I changed my name on here so it looks like I joined in 2009)
I have never actually started a thread myself, although I have replied to loads and read hundreds in the 11 yrs.

Just wanted to pass the good word around as there are many newbies who probably feel like I did when diagnosed - what does all this mean and what is the future.

But I kept taking the meds and I have had a lot of different ones in the past years and hopefully I found something that agrees with me.

Another anti-tnf, Humira didnt like me but it seems Rituxi is going to be buddy.
Rheumy told me today that two patients have gone for 3 years between Rituxi infusions so thats something eh?

11 years? 11 years? You've not started your own thread in all that time?

Kath, I do hope you're not going to start pestering us now by putting up a thread every 5 years or so

    Dear Kath

I had never realised that you had not started a new thread, before this one. Wow!

I don't know why but I thought the forum started in June 2006. So it was earlier then, you must have been one of the first forum members. Another great achievement.

A cruise sounds like a lovely idea.

    Hi Elna

I had one or two other user names but thinking about it I am now wondering if it was in actual fact in 06 not 04,
04 was the year I joined ebay. Although I was a lurker on here for a very long time.

Oh my, total confusion - no wonder at my age. But I think I have got my years mixed up.

I did write a poem or two but think I may have tagged them onto something else not sure.

Hey its turning out I'm not right sure about a lot of stuff eh.

Forgive me its an age thing.

    Love Kath xx
