We have been here in Spain for 8 years and loved and cherished 4 beautiful palms.Saturday when we checked them out two of them have been savaged by palm weevils They have got to be cut down and burned .The other two we don't hold out a lot of hope for but someone is coming tomorrow to drill and inject them with insecticide.The palm weevil is causing devestation all over Spain Keep your fingers crossed for us :sad: :sad: :sad:

    that's awful. Palms to me make me think of Spain.. Along a wonderful promenade..
    Hope you manage to save the others and the country gets it under control Tones :grin:

    off to majorca sunday have they got it there as well? how does it affect them ? what do they look like ? it such a shame palms are so lovely to look at val

    Poor you Tony :sad:

    we had a load of those cordalyne's here in this country (the look like palms to me :oops: ) killed by some sort of bug in the earth this year something to do with the cold winter we had.

    My neighbour lost one and was devastated :sad:

    Oh Tones I am sorry to read this, how awful to see the palms wilting and not being able to do anything.

    Two of the palms went today We hope that we have blasted the others enough for them to survive :cry::cry::cry:
