Hi,
Ive had a bad day today, well, I've slept most of it, but the pain has been horrible and in every joint & muscle I have and a few more! I think I've just worked out why I've had so much pain.
Woke with a really bad migraine this morning, just before the alarm went off, took my special pill and went back to doze. When I got up later, I couldn't remember taking my tramadol (the slow release ones). So I did'nt take any as a double dose is horrible, spaces me out! Well, just remebered forgetting, if you know what I mean!
I've often wondered if they really work, I think I know the answer now!
Love Sue
Spine feels as if someones walked up and down it with stilletoes(sp?)

I can understand what you saying, yesterday I forgot my meds till tea time missing morning and lunch and boy did I know it. When on them you don't realise how much help they giving you.

Hope you feeling better soon. X

    Hi Sue,

I'm so sorry to hear about the pain you are having. It's odd how easy they are to forget, I keep saying I need to set an alarm  Hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

    Love

Hi Sue, just redoing this reply, sent first but it didnt appear so someone may have atotally wierd comment to their threadSorry, or its floating inthe ether somewhere, Anyway I also belong to the airhead brigade and found it difficult keeping tabs on tablets so I bought a drug dispenser from the chemist, each of the 7 cassettes are in 4 sections (morning, lunch, tea, bedtime). I make it up each week and when I need my once a week drug I write a reminder around that days cassette. If you have a lot of tablets an additional cassette can be used the same way for regular pain meds, in this way you cant overdose and if you have forgotten to take one, the tablet will be there staring you in the face. I also have to give my 91 yr Mum who lives with me her drugs (she is confused) so she has her cassette and I check it twice a day to make sure she has taken them. Also it means you can concentrate to set your drugs out without interuption and be safe.

    Poor you Sue

thing is you will forget again (not for a while because the memory is still vivid, but in time because we all do!

I agree with lalla....get a dispenser then you can see what you have remembered or forgotten

    Love and hugs

I think you answered your question, woodbon. It is easy to forget a dose, especially if you have the complication of a migraine on top of everything else. I find my dispensers useful, especially on holidays, so maybe it's time to get one. Do you take the tramadol every day? DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

Hi, yes I think I will have to get one of those pill containers. I have seen them at the chemist and thought they are a good thing, but have't done anything about it.

I think it might be more than just the forgotten pill, I'm better today, but seem to have got a few new places that are bothering me. I'm worrying about the ATOS medical next week, its less than a year since my last one and I havn't filled in any forms. My Gp is on holiday, so I can't ask her for another letter and things have changed a bit since the last medical. I think I might dig around a bit and see what i can find, they called me for a medical in August, but cancelled it an hour before it was due. I had some paperwork then and I know I have copies of it all. Oh well, never mind! Thanks for all the sympathy and support! Love Sue xxx
