Got my knee injections yesterday wasnt to bad.
Also went to see my occ health doctor in work all they wanted to know what tablets i am on i was only in 2min and away again. I was expecting alot of questions0 -
I hope the injections help, Decky. They always have done for me. Don't forget to rest those knees though. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Decky, welcome aboard!
I got copies of the employer booklet and gave to my headteacher( I teach 3 days per week) -she found it really useful in terms of beginning to understand some of what I deal with working with RA- she then got me a new chair to make life a bit more comfortable in the classroom, and agreed to my reducing hours from 5 to 3 days. It's worth being honest so that when things do go pear shaped it isn't viewed as swinging the lead.
Hope you get a positive response if you do decide to share with your employers.

Told my employer i've Arthritis all i had to do was let them know what tablets im on but now i've told them what tablets im on this could start the ball rolling for them to call me back for more questions.
What do you think Deb?
How did you go about changing your work hours?
i've been off on holidays and feel alot relaxed tho im back to work 2mara so i'll have to see how things go.
Thanks for your help.0 -
I wonder how you got on when you went back to work. You could see OH again at your own request if you think you need to reduce your hours.
Best of luck Rita0 -
Yes im back in work only to hear the news that the work floor is being rearranged and that the machine i work on is getting put into a chill
the temp will be below 5 degrees which worrys me because i think this can only cause more pain if not now but in the future
Rita i dont want to rock the boat with Occ Health asking for less hours afraid they will say i cant cope and lay me off.
Do the Occ Health send for us every now and then to ask how we are coping?
Thanks again for replying to my post very helpful0 -
I think different OH's have different arrangements about following up Decky. How have you gotten on with the lower temperatures, I could'nt cope with working in such a cold environment. I get very stiff and sore if I'm too cold. Hope you are coping well.

My boss did'nt put me in the chill
But working this passed 2 weeks has been as tough as its ever been for me
by the time i get half way through the day im really tired and my back has been getting sore,
The only tablets i take is Paracetamol i think these help me more than some other tablets that i've been given'
Hav'nt heard from the Occ Health since awhile ago from they just wanted to know what tablets i was taken,
I've to go to my doctor again in 2weeks for a check-up im gonna tell them that ive been feeling more tired during work an its a struggle to get through the day,
Going to work to come home to lay down to get up to go to work is'nt
doing me any good..
THANKS FOR YOUR REPLYS!!!0 -
Hello there again everyone!
I got another letter to see the Occ health doctor on the 14th.
In the letter there is a questionnaire for me to fill in...
It says on it the info which i give will assist my employer in assessing what reasonable adjustments are necessary to my duties or working environment.
So what should i say should i say i've been feeling tired an sore its just i'm afraid to say to much because at the back of the questionnaire theres a results part for the Occ health to fill in,,,
which has things like,
Fit for designated post?
Fit with adjustments as recommended?
Unfit?
Really need some pointers as what should i do?0 -
Sorry I can't help, Decky, except to say I think you'll get more replies if you start this as a separate thread, both here and on Working Matters, maybe entitled something like 'Help with Occy Health Assessment Questionnaire'. Good luck.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
