I’m glad the physio’s helped a bit, Wendgro. It’s a pity the hip’s joined the party though.
Here on the forum, we don’t do surgery yet but, between us, we do know a fair bit about pain, causes and treatments.
I do hope your appointment goes well for you.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

If I read this right (and it's early) I am wondering the following: if your hip is replaced would that help the replaced knee? Now wouldn't that be good! Good luck on the 26th, I have my flu jab but I will be thinking of you too. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Apparantly it's called referred pain I think it's something to do with the nerve supply as well also because the hip needs doing the body is expecting too much of the TKR. The way you walk and stand puts too much pressure on the knee hence have the hip done your body is then in the right alignment to the knee so pressure is taken off the knee, hope that makes sense. The bend ing of the knee however is another thing needing the hip done doesn't stop you beeing able to bend the knee it's just the pain thats hard to cope with.Oh we are complicated folk keep you informed Wendy0

I have physio regularly on my knee.
I find it very useful and lossens me off a lot.
Unfortunately, going to need a lot more of it during the winter! :roll:0 -
Contrary to what Mrs Sticky states, Ra the wondercat offers a surgical service.. He has done numerous procedures including Dawn French's reversed lipo suction, Prince Philip's tact gene removal, Jordan's boob jobs, the very tricky surgery of removing Nick Clegg from David Cameron's bottom, (an ongoing treatment) and many more..
Best of luck, me and him will be reporting for pocket dutiesMe-Tony
