Hope you don't mind me using LWA for this annoucement

After a lengthy period of getting people interested and getting around to organise, we are finally lifting off the ground today:-

INAUGURAL MEETING of LEIGH ARTHRITIS CARE SUPPORT GROUP

at Kings Street Methodist Church, Kings Street, Leigh (directly opposite Leigh Bus Station) 2-4pm

Please come along if you can make it, you will be made more thank welcome, Thank You....Compositor

    I wish you the very best of luck Compositor, I hope it all goes well and you are able to create a flourishing and well-attended group. I, alas, live too far away, but if I am ever in that neck of the woods and that coincides with a meeting I'll turn up - and bring biccies! DD

    I hope it goes well, Compositor. I have family around Leigh but not of the arthritic variety. Wishing you a big turn out.
    If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    I hope you get a good turnout....I thoroughly enjoy mine in the North East.
    Just a thought.....you will be able to get little cards with arthritis care numbers/helpline/web site etc on it.....Take some with you when you go somewhere...eg shopping center/ for coffee or anywhere where there are people.....Chat to people who have problems with mobility {most easiest to spot LOL}and give them a card and tell them where you are and when. I find its the people who dont know that need to be targeted.
    To a certain extent you are preaching to the converted here.
    People on here either go to one, dont have one in their area or just dont want to go to one.
    Sorry dont mean to sound as if I'm telling you what to do....No way could I start a group so good on you.....but it just popped into my head as i was typing :grin:
