Sore and scared

Hi
Things had been going quite well for a change. I finished hydro, and am back seeing the physio and was feeling positive. But during the night I got up to nip to the loo and fell over some thing on the landing. I have a large swelling and bruise on my lower leg and have seriously jolted my hip and back. (my THR side )
I have felt my joint move in the socket and am scared as this hip dislocated last year. I know I should go and get it checked out, but I am scared. It hurts and I am back at work tomorrow, day off today, and I need to be able to go to work for rest of the week. I am off next week. I have had so much time off over past couple of years that I am scared of what will be said.
Sorry to ramble...
NB

    Oh heck NB

Please dont fret about what work will say (hard I know) but you know in youre genuine.
That must be sickening to know/think youve done something where its out of the socket but get it seen to, may be not as bad. Really hope so and this isnt as big a set back as feared...

    Chin up...

Oh dear, nearlybionic, what a thing to happen. I too think you should get it checked out, it was a genuine accident, nothing deliberate, and at least you will have your mind put at rest if it's confirmed that all is OK. A fall can jolt muscles as well as joints, hopefully that is all it is for you and rest will ease matters - but I am not a doc. Please get to yours as soon as you can, especially if things don't ease. DD

Hi, that sounds horrible and I can understand you not wanting to go to the hospital but, you really need let them see it. It may not be as bad as you think or if you get their quickly, it might be easier for them to give you the proper treatment, before anything worse happens.
Don't bother about work, you'r more important.

Oh NB, that sounds awful....but may not be as awful as you think. You possibly are more worried than necessary after the awful time you had last year.
I dont blame you one little bit....so get to the doc and find out one way or the other  You might come out of there highly delighted
When you've had a THR and fall it is worrying {thats experience talking} but more so after last year. So please pet go to the doctors as soon as possible

Hi and thankyou all for your replies and concern
Sorry I havent been on earlier but I got Mr NB to run me up to A&E last night when he got in , as the GP was closed then. They were really busy and the wait was long. They checked me over and I have a lot of bruising and they think it was a subluxation , I knew it wasn`t dislocated, that I wouldn`t need a doc to tell me too painful to forget that one !! The sublux is when it slips to the edge like a partial dislocation, then back.
So I have been resting after my very late night. I am sore and achey and have been taking my meds to help.
    Thanks again all xxxx
I will let you all know how I get on. I am back at physio next week too
