I hope you have a good day, Poppy.

Please tell your family it's not surprising you get so much love and support as you're only getting back what you give out.

Now, I hope your 'nurse sister' is the old-fashioned matron type who will tuck you in bed so tight you won't be able to get out at all.

Norty girl, you is a norty norty girl. There was no need for you to log on today and say hello but hell, Poppy, I'm damn glad you did as it was lovely to hear from you! Now please stay tucked up nice and warm, in a pleasant post GA haze topped up by more dullers, and concentrate on feeling able to tackle the rigours that tomorrow will undoubtedly bring. Bless you all for your lovely, kind and very much appreciated messages, I'm really moved.
Hubby has gone downstairs supervising the troops off to school and my sister is fast asleep, so as I smuggled my phone up last night I can go online without being told off! physio at 12.40, I assume theyre going to try and get the arm moving, the surgeon said he shaved lots of bone off and could move my arm every which way during the op! had my dressings changed yesterday but so looking forward to having a bath later, I've convinced hubby that I'll be ok sitting on the seat of the lift and wont get the bandages wet. Still pretty sore, but not the same sore as before the op, another good night as my pillow lifter was padded out with loads of pillows and I'm able to sleep sitting up.
Well, I can hear the boys clattering up the stairs for a kiss before going off to school, so best go.
Love to everyone on here, and again a huge thankyou to you Xxx

I remember being told at the time of my first TKR that they bend it, stretch it, tuck it under your chin (slight exaggeration) & generally get it doing stuff it hasn't done in years before sewing you up.

Poppy, it's great that you had another good night. I do hope the physio goes well and not too painfully (Paindullers beforehand?) and that each day will be a little better from now on.

Hi Poppy, good that you had another goodnights sleep

Good luck with the physio.....when they ask you to do something you can't just say...."hey, I am not asleep now you know  " (meaning while you were having surgery and the surgeon did that to you)

    Take care

Hi Poppy, Wanted to say sorry for not getting to you sooner  , Glad the op went well and your home nicely snuggled up with pillows!! And that your arm feels better than before the op. You are very lucky to have a good suport network looking after you at home, so that you can take your time to get stronger and your arm to heal.
Good luck with the physio and you take time to heal properly Mrs!! No sneaking about doing things you shouldn't!! Big ((HUGS)) glad everything went well and get well soon! bubbadog/Amanda. xx

    Hi everyone,
Well, I survived physio...not sure how though! she was lovely and kind, but when putting my shoulder down and pulling my arm up she pushed on one of the cuts/stitches causing it to bleed and it did hurt. She ran and got some ice and I had it re dressed so all ok and no more physio till after stitches are out next Wednesday. My sister has gone home now and I'm settling down and doing a few bits and bobs
Love to you all, have a lovely weekend and a huge thankyou to all you lovely people, I'm so touched, your messages have really helped me through this Xxx

Not exactly what you wanted, Poppy, but at least you can enjoy the weekend with all your lovely menfolk now.

I hope things will go a little easier for you from now on.
