One sided issues

Hi All,

Just wanted to ask an opinion about some issues I've been having of late.

I've been having on and off for a few months, pain down my left arm into my elbow. It aches and aches and when I straighten it, it eases off again. I had carpel tunnel here a few years ago (2007) and had it operated on which resolved all the numbness and pain in my hand, but this is a new thing.

I am also being woken up by by left hip more, and I know I'm pulling to one side, a scan showed this when I was having chiropractor treatment, but seems it's all one side at the moment.

Do you think this warrants looking at? I work at a PC most of the time, but my set up is good, so there is no issue there. Just this elbow thing is new from the last few months.

Funny thing now, when I get up in the morning, and bend my knees, it sounds like they are crumbling, really horrible sound -like millions of bubbles on bubble wrap all going at once.

Ain't Arthur a pain!! It has distracted me from the neck pain though!!

Oh dear, poor you, I do empathise. Now, I am ashamed to say that I cannot remember what version of this malarkey affects you, I am sorry, but if it affects the way you stand, sit and walk then it could be throwing other joints out of kilter and thus they begin their own protest. It could also be that your arthritis is seeking out pastures new, 'cos it likes doing that. I think you should mention it to whoever you see next (no, not the postman, someone medical!) and at least it will be recorded for later information. I hope things ease soon. DD

Thanks DD. I have OA in my neck, knees, index fingers and left big toe and it's neighbour.

the car accident threw my spine out of centre position so it's all tight one side, all loose the other.

So I think everything I do has a knock on effect really. Could well be arthur moving on as I had shoulder pain on this side for a long time too, long frozen shoulder.

A bloke I work with got sciatica and that is painful when you are in the middle of it. He said he found out the cause was the fact that he jept his wallet in his back pocket, and the slight raise on that side, threw his hips out and caused the issue.

    Little things eh?

    Hi Angie..

My knees make the most awful sound sends shivers when i hear them.. the kids run away from me when i am about to stand up or go up the stairs they hate the sound my knees make..
I sometimes have pain fro my shoulder to elbow and elbow to hands, but i believe this is due to inflammatory arthritis in my elbows..
Need to make sure you keep a list of everything going on and mention it to doc next time you see them..
Hope it eases off for you..x

Hmmmmm, I'm not technical enough, sorry! It's definitely one for the GP I think, although you are managing with it now it is worth mentioning. Thank you for the reminder about you - I hope I can remember!

Don't worry DD, I'm not always on here often enough these days, so it's not you pet

I've been kept busier than I care to think about lately, shame really as I miss my time on here. I've snuck on as a late lunch as I've been slaving away over a hot PC.....

    Shhhhhh, don't tell anyone...

    Hi Angie
I know what you mean about the knees making horrible noises. I was walking from one side of the warehouse to the other and my knees were making so much noise that a workmate accused me of wearing metal studs in my shoes. You should have seen their face when I explained it was my knees.

Sorry I can't help much with your problem but I do agree with Tracy and DD that it is worth mentioning at your next medical appointment. Hope all goes well and you get some answers. There's nothing worse than getting aches and pains and not knowing whether it's arther acting up or something else.
    Take Care

This is true Angie. The problem is I think a lot gets blamed on one thing, which could be masking something else, so you never know whether you are being paranoid, having another symtom of your regular condition, or you have something totally new.

I will mention it though, hopefully with some support. We can but hope.

ladies, you are wonderful as always, thank you.
