Some Good News.....I have been shortlisted for an award!!??!

Hello there

I am usually on here moaning & groaning about the latest ache & pain. Summat new every week!

Well, tonight I have some good news for a change. I have been shortlisted for an award at work for my fundraising activities & partnership working with local homeless charities. I have been invited to an awards 'do' in December!!??!!

This means a lot as I have had some sick leave recently and was very worried, especially as redundancies are looming. I was on a bit of a downward spiral thinking it would all be held against me. So it was wonderful to be recognised for good work despite the sick leave.

I don't care if I win or not. I just thought I would share with you a positive news story from someone with arthritis who sometimes struggles with work. It is so nice to feel my efforts are appreciated by those that matter.

    Well done SB - what goes around comes around - you must have done some really good stuff to be nominated for an award - being nominated is the same as getting an award coz it shows people recognise what you've done. good luck though coz you deserve it!

    That's a great achievement, sugarbuttie. It would be even without your difficulties but, with them, it's very much to your credit. Well done! And thank you for letting us know. How inspiring!

    I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.
