Don't know if others get sick of this sort of person but I know I do!!! Certain friends of mine moan and moan and moan about having a little bit of a sore throat and a bit of a cold - not being funny but they don't have the faintest idea of what being really ill is and it makes me want to tell them to get a grip!!!

Hope you are having a better day today?

I so know what you mean - there is a guy at work who constantly moans about his sore knee that he twisted falling off a pavement drunk.... but he complains EVERY day. He is always trying to get attention and talk about the knee....

He even said to me 'the thing is, it is probably fine for you having spinal arthritis because you are only 29 and have had it for several years so you are used to it. I am in my late 50's and this is my first injury so it is far more debilitating'

I swear - I nearly punched him over the printer...!!

    lol, Beccy xxx

It's ok for you to have a sore throat (well it's not but you know what I mean) because you do have other serious stuff going on - I wasn't directing my initial post at anyone on here.

Hi, i have found people belittle my battle yet when they have an ingrowing toenail they want to call an ambulance!!!!!:lol::lol:

Makes me very mad!!!!! I get told to be positive if I so much as hint at pain yet they moan for days over a sniffle,

You just have to give yourself a pat on the back for being so strong

Its like people who say they have a migraine when they have a headache and flu when they have the sniffles. Lucky them never having had flu or a migraine as they would not be saying what they do, if they had. People! As I think to myself you would not be whinging to me now if you really had a migraine or flu, you would be in bed, suffering like hell.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

    Hiya,

The day I found out I had severe OA in both sides of my jaw, tremendous pain, couldn't open my mouth etc.. I went back to work the same day to find my colleague had went home sick with toothache and then took the next 3wks off sick!!! That's ok however, as 'I'm used to pain'!!!!

I know what you're talking about too - in the past I've had the flu (get the flu jab now as I'm asthmatic too), a couple of migraines, appendicitis and a kidney stone ... none of which were much fun, at the time, least of all the kidney stone - but at least you get over them! Until this year I had had no real experience of the chronic pain associated with this condition, and I really feel for those of you who have been suffering for prolonged periods.

Hope you all have as pain free a weekend as you can manage.
