Well what a mess, the EU is in a right old pickle and I blame most of it on the frogs, they thought this stupid idea up in the first place then got the Germans to go along with it, how in hell can you have one currency for all these other countries without the ability to be able to locally fix interest rates and do a bit of minor tinkering to adjust your own financial system to get the best out of it.
That’s the simplest problem to sort out but who allowed the PIGS to join in the first place knowing full well their economies were so bent in the first place that anyone with an ounce of common sense knew they were adept at manipulating things to fit any criteria especially if there were massive amounts of loans up for grabs.
The French are dangerous dreamers and have an unnatural and unhealthy love/obsession of building a utopian dream, things is they don’t want to entertain logic, they just wanted numbers in the club regardless seeming they were leading the charge and didn’t want to bother with the mundane logistics and realities of how some of those coming onboard were economically inept and or worse bent as seven bob notes.
Now all hells breaking loose and France and Germany are at each others throats mostly because the French have dropped the costs into the lap of the Germans.
What was the level headed Germans thinking of letting this bunch of hedonistic bohemians lead them a merry dance.
Thing is we need a referendum on Europe and we need it now, the EU is a good idea as a trading group but that’s as far as it goes, you cannot make it a one size fits all utopian dream, that’s childish thinking and would never work and it hasn’t, yet even now Cameron and all the other MP’s wont let US the people decide what we should do as a nation with regards to the EU.
Why?, they know we’d say we all want out, it’s cost us to much and given nothing back but dept and red tape. We are adult enough to be able to abide by the rule of law work raise families pay taxes and vote but when it comes to a DEMOCRATIC VOTE on serious things like this we get treated like children, and there’s the problem we don’t really figure other than were here to supply them with the lifestyle they crave and have made themselves off the backs of out hard work and that’s why we don’t get a chance, as they know it would set people asking what about other big issues then true democracy would break out and we can’t have that now can we?.

Never happen though Len it's a gravy train for all our politicians at some point in their devious lives, no such thing as democracy not even in the EU, it makes crazy edicts to piss us all off simply to make out their doing our bidding while behind closed doors their making mega bucks out of expenses same as our lot here, the EU it's just a very sick bent and bloated over sized cash cow that’s getting fatter and more bloated and sick each day, it’s dying on it’s feet thing is what happens next?,
I use to be pro but now I think we should get out if not we should at least make them take back some of their petty rules and in exchange they give us back a shed load of money, all we get is less for more it’s got to stop.

If we were in the EU fully disabled people and pensioners would get far better payments and disable people would be far better looked after in the EU countries. We have the lowest paid state pension in in the world considering that we are the thrid richest country.

As for the EU creating problems for us, it was the banks that are exposed as they are intertwined with EU banks. Also it was the property developers that got very greedy and made loads of moeny from it. It looks our millionaires in government wants the best bits of euro that suits them but not for the workers.

Look who is suffering now as a result of the the banks and property developers it is certailly not them it is the people on the minimum wage and disabled people as well as pensioners. :|

Yes true but that’s what the EU should be for and not what it’s doing right now it’s too big and too bent and out of control, its small beer when the whole thing is unsustainable due to corruption and greed
The EU central bank and the Euro in general are also the very things that are now forcing us all to the financial wall, the French disbanded the European banks monitoring section/unit just so it could push through the very dodgy set of loans that now threaten the whole thing with implosion so don’t just blame the banks also blame the country that’s driving the EU as a whole, If this unit had still been in existence the PIGS would have never been given the money in the first place as anyone with half a brain know that they are and always have been seriously dysfunctional corrupt states, If it had we would not be having this discussion, it’s all well and good that a few disabled laws have helped a few people here and there but what’s the point when the whole system collapses under a mountain of dept and fraud, do you think the average disabled person in Greece is immune to the disaster their country is now facing?, sadly they are not and Greece could well fall apart as a society then what for them?.
And as for the minimum wage well that was another nice idea that was useless, The EU migration laws also allow mass migration of anyone in the EU so the minimum wage it forced on us was and is totally utterly pointless as eastern Europeans now in the EU have the right to come here, they have flooded in and undercut it, that’s why so many people were on the dole even in the boom ie 5million, God knows what it is now .and it’s still rising
It’s all well and good having laws and rules to protect disabled and low paid etc but when there’s no money or work to pay for it then it’s totally academic.
And that’s my point the EU should have never been allowed or got as big and powerful and bent as it has, you cannot run so many different countries with diverse financial system some bent as buggery as the French are trying to do it will fall apart and it is.
If the EU is not seriously modified then all the benefits you and I have from it will be worthless, and anyway it’s not just about you and I, our kids will be paying for this until their in their 50’s if their lucky.
OK so the banks take all the blame by most people but it’s not all their fault it’s more complex than that, the French have allowed to much power and say and they've allowed to many corrupt poor Eastern European countries to join for a start, each one is taking vast amounts of our money out and that you can bet isn’t going to where it’s needed so the whole mess is only getting started, it cannot go on as it is there isn’t enough money in the world.
