Stereograms

I've always been fascinated by those kind of ''Magic Eye'' patterns which you can look through until you see a 3D image. The correct term for them is Stereograms, so I've just discovered.

I've been having fun creating my own stereograms on this site:

The instructions are at the bottom of the page, and it's easy to do. You have to relax your eyes in order to see the image through the pattern.

    I could never see them for ages either, but then it suddenly clicked. When you've done it once, your brain seems to remember how. The secret is to relax your eyes and let everything go slightly out of focus until the image appears.

    Ah, it's a shame you can't do it, Val and Tony. Are you enlarging it when you've made the stereogram? It wouldn't work otherwise. I can see it every time, and it's fun :grin:

    Nope - I never get these either. I tried my best - blurred my vision etc etc... Got a good headache now though - does that count? :lol:
    No-one was injured in the making of this signature, however, quite a few electrons may have been inconvenienced.

    Oh dear, it seems that I'm the only person on the forum who can see these :eek: Try making your eyes go slightly cross-eyed and see if that works. It's really good once you can do it.........honest :grin:

    did it again tonight could see the hand then the others were duplicating them selves so it not working right will try again val

    They published some a few years ago in a Sunday Magazine I've always been able to see them
