This year we have four memorable and unusual dates:

1/1/11,........ 11/1/11,....... 1/11/11,...... 11/11/11,....and that's not all. Take the last two digits of the year you were born in and the age you will be this year, and the result will add up to 111 for everyone :!:

Also, this year, in October we had 5 Sundays, 5 Mondays, and 5 Saturdays. This happens only once every 823 years.

I didn't realise about the October bit, I have to say. I suppose next year will be the last of these things as 12/12/12 can't be taken any further, although the palendromic dates will still keep rolling in. DD

My twins were born on 17/4/71, which seemed a good palendromic date for two special babies.

And we had 9/10/11 recently which was a special day for my little girl as she was 8 on 9/10/11.

My neighbour will be 88 on 11/11/11. She's fantastic for her age, very young at heart, glamorous, and still drives her car. We're planning a celebration for her, and the date seems to make it even more special.
