Hi berty, good to read your appointment went well and that the consultant was happy with your progress.
Another 6 weeks with the brace, hopefully for you the time will go quickly.

Just intime for christmas ,so make sure you have some tinsel ready for that pole

Not all that you'd have liked, bertyboy, but the main thing is that all is well and you are on course.

Sometimes I feel we should be issued with a combined 'patience and sensibility' tablet on diagnosis.

Could you manage to pole dance on one leg? It would add a certain je ne sais quoi.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I know you were hoping to have it off today, but at least in 6 weeks it should hopefully be healed properly and you can go back to pole dancing...:lol:
As sticky said i am sure with a bit of imagination and practise you could come up with a one legged pole dance show..

Traluvie! I know what you meant but really . . .

I can grasp the disappointment, berty, but surely it's better to be safe than sorry, especially as the first one did not go too well. As usual sticky is right on the money, wouldn't a combined 'patience-and-sense' pill be great? As it is we have to do that for ourselves and I am sure you will cope admirably with this delay. Take care. DD

Aw dear May, I know exactly what you mean when you heard those words "for another 6 weeks". I have my post op check next week and so hoping that he will say that I can leave this blasted collar off but I am pretty sure that is not what he is going to say. Actually I am being a little naughty and do not wear it much when in the home, now. I am also hoping of course that all is mending nicely too. You have been told that you are doing well on that score so that must cheer you up.

If wearing your brace is as or more uncomfortable than wearing the collar and the looks I get when out by some, then I perfectly understand your disappointment. Putting our sensible hats on, we know it is the best thing to do but..... oh well pole dancing on hold until the next year then?

Chin up, actually that is all I can do when wearing the collar.

    Love

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

Hi Berty, 6 weeks will fly by and before you know it you will be unveiling the stronger leg, and you will be doing tricks on that tinseled pool that no one has ever seen!! Keep smiling! Glad the cosultant was pleased with your progress. Amanda/bubbadog
