Hugh Grant

Can you believe that Hugh Grant's baby with Tinglan Hong, the mother of his daughter, was really unplanned as he has told the media :?:
I can't believe that he has got to the age of 51 without fathering any children, only to make a careless mistake now. To say that the child is a result of a ''fleeting affair'' doesn't ring true to me. I'm sure that he is not so naive that he didn't think about contraception.
He is famously commitment-phobic with women, and yet he's gone on record as saying that he would like to have children. He once said he was inspired by Warren Beatty to have children after his fellow actor said it was only when he became a father he felt the relief that it wasn’t ‘all about me, me, me’.
Yet one gets the impression that ‘me, me me’ is still all that counts for Hugh Grant.
I think that he wants the best of both worlds, and he has found a woman who is prepared to have a child with him in return for a luxurious lifestyle. The baby will have everything she needs in a material way, but she won't have a normal family life, with her Dad just popping in occasionally to see her when he can drag himself away from his latest girlfriend.
I find it very sad that these wealthy celebrities just think about themselves, but they don't consider the emotional needs and welfare of the children they create.

This is that man rehab, the irresponsible g't that has become a father. It takes much more to become a good dad though.Clare xx0

It takes nothing? You sure about that, rehab? I thought there was at least 30 seconds of a basic mutual activity - and if you're damned unlucky the investing in lager and chips first - unless she's a classy bird like me, then it's real ale and chips. hi Joan,
your so right.... i know from personal experience that some of these celbs are basically useless fathers and want children as exhibits not as humans.....
to want for nothing materialistically isn't the same as to want for nothing if that makes sense?
i also know from personal experience they letch after younger girls and use their 'celb power' and promises of 15 mins of fame to charm their way into bed.... where they make no commitment and don't care if their wives are upstairs... i will stop now but i do so agree with you! Cris xx0 -
I think he's said that it was as a result of a fleeting affair in order to maintain his image as a lady's man ( Yuk! ) It wouldn't have looked so good if he'd admitted that he'd made a deal with a Chinese lady to have his child. He's now got the fun of having a daughter, but he can hand her back to her mother when he's bored with her, and he can escape the hard work which goes into bringing up a child.0

On the other hand, he probably spends as much time with his child as dads who work a lot of hours do. I remember two noisy kids bouncing on the bed trying to wake dad up when he came off of 12hour night shift. Them standing by the bed willing dad to wake up, oh happy times!
He was interviewed last year, he spends most of his time looking after his elderly father.0 -
