Hi all a strange thing happened to me last night, my back is playing up right in the centre and its hurts to sit sends pain round my ribs ( currently been investigated for Ankylosing spondylitis) well last night l was sat at table doing a bit craft which l knew was a mistake and noticed my left hand mainly LOOKED really dark BLUE right in the middle all of the middle !! now l do have veiny hands a lot of the time but these were big and l could even see the veins down my fingers which l usually cant, my other hand was simialr l nearly crapped myself the left hand was worst affected even though l am right handed... it didnt hurt it wasnt hot either, but it was scary... it went and l packed my craft things away after that lol... so last night l had my usual flare up problems back hurting ribs feeling like they wont expand enough to breathe propally etc etc but been like this a few days... does anyone know why this happened? I just feel my usual run down self.. shoulders achy this morning and usual areas. Thanks for your time xx

Sounds like a circulation problem to me. Were your hands cold too? if it keeps happening I would seek medical advice.

    Hi,
My Doctor told me it was Raynaurd's syndrome.
Told me to wear long sleeved tops to keep my arms warm.

My hands have not done it much since I started covering up so maybe he was right.

Really scary deep blue though sin't it?!!!!!!

Hi, you need to get this checked out by your doc. Raynauds can affect hands and feet, it usually affects fingers first and toes first. Swelling of joints can also effect the circulation, so you really need to get it checked.

    hi Niecsey,

it sounds circulation related, mine do it though its the whole arm and the whole legs as well but it needs looking at and sorting out flower. you must see the gp and see if they will send you on for a referral to get some help for it. Cris x
