went to see doc after having my first bloods on mtx and he said all was fine with liver but there was slight viral in bloods anyone know what this means? will google later lol , also showed swelling in my hands on the pictures i took off my phone he nearly had a fit and looked horrified yes swelling visiable but also my fingers where starved of blood supply half way down not that i noticed so now im off the beta blockers and now on adalat la tablets to widen my blood vessels maybe that would account for all these terrible panic attacks who knows i am starting to feel like a human guinea pig, and now put up predlislone to 10mg daily as dyhdacodiene sent me in a spin and left me so sick no other option for pain other than upping the steriods and back to cocodomol oh happy days , never mind nurse specailist next week boy have i alot to tell her

Hi I ain't sure what the boods mean but re the painkillers they did that to me so I am now on pain patches and they have been good for the pain. Had a few side effects with them but nothing I can't handle so might be worth asking about them as I only found out about them on here and asked my doc about them.Tracey0

Hope you can get the pain patches, I've heard of them but luckily, never had to use them, though lots of people on here do, I think. I have HRT from patches and they work!
Hope you soon feel better. Love Sue xx0 -
Patches are good, if you are put on them dont take co codamol alongside as aparently they counteract the patch, so have reverse effect than you hope.
This happened to me so consult stopped codeine and put me on tablet form of patch for top up.
All the best.xxClare xx0 -

Sorya just keep going back till they get something that works for you..........5 years on and they are still trying with me but seems we have got it now with the patches.....yep they have side effects but as doc said to me today we have to weigh it up, are the side effects worse than the pain I was in and that is a def no so we are staying on the patches. So what if I have days that I am a bit dizzy or sleepy it aint the end of the world as I have no job to do so can sit at home and chill out if I need to. I hope you get sorted out with something that works as it drags you down all the pain xxTracey0
